2008 Tacoma 4wd. Experienced drive train vibration. When serviced they replaced 3 universals.

When serviced they replaced 3 universals. Why replace only 3 universals and not the 4th that has over 160,000 miles on it?

 

Let me look into my crystal ball and see if I can read the mind of your mechanic. OR you could just ask your mechanic.

If they only replaced 3, they probably just did the rear driveshaft. There are 2 in the front driveshaft for a total of 5.

 

The rear driveshafts only have 3 u-joints. If your talking about the warranty enhancement that is all Toyota is covering for them. ( unless the driveshaft is damaged and needs full replacement. )
