How would load E on a Tacoma specifically make balancing harder? What vehicle it goes on shouldn’t have any bearing on that, or at least I wouldn’t think so.

Yeah but that’s nothing to do with Tacoma’s. Just load E in general. I was asking because it was the first thing following why load E shouldn’t be on a Tacoma

Gotcha. Yeah I meant it was an e load specific thing, not a Tacoma thing.
However, the reason why I am personally against running 10 ply tires on a Tacoma, or even a half ton for that matter, is because they are overkill for what the truck can haul and create a way stiffer ride, loss of power, loss of fuel mileage, more un-sprung mass, and usually a quicker wearing tread.
Like I said earlier, many people put them on and it’s not they are going to hurt anything but they can have some negative consequences, just like any factory altering mod that we add to these trucks.

I love E rated Extreme Terrain tires because of how tough they are on the trail but obviously they won't handle the same as a P rated AT/HT. The daily vibe checks and handling complaints that come from 10 ply tires on small trucks literally drives me insane. What are we supposed to do when the balance is spot on, roadforce is under 20lbs, and bead seat is perfect? Oh, right, give you another set of tires :D
