I test drove a Challenger one time and the sales guy had me do a burnout and then I banged gears getting on the freeway, then I thought I could drop it into 2nd while going 70. I almost died. Got the car back to the dealer and walked off. Car had 15 miles on it.

 

I'm still waiting for the peanut gallery to kick in and tell OP to demand:

• Extended warranty for the life of this truck and the one he buys after this one is gone
• Free oil changes for life for this truck and all other vehicles in his household
• At least half off the new truck, and a lift, sliders, wheels, tires, light bar, and bumpers for free
• All expenses paid trip to Hawaii, and a couple of cruises thrown in on top of that
• Free dinners at Fleming's for the next ten years, with unlimited wine bar thrown in

For his trouble in this episode.

If you are happy with the truck, this gives you all the leverage in the world to negotiate. Have the dealership throw in a extended warranty, negotiate the price to used value, and even get some other goodies. I mean, if the dealer found it hard to explain the truck had been sold once, imagine having to explain it was sold twice. I bet they will be willing to do whatever is necessary—within reason—to not have that truck back in their lot.

Not as easy as picking just two trucks. The two sides in the lawsuit would never agree on what two trucks to pick. And you can't pick 'asking prices' you need sold histories. Gets complicated.

Like I mentioned before, and someone just confirmed it, the difference would be 1K or less. A lot of time, work and some legal expense for what in the end?

If you paid attention to my post, it spoke in the past tense, so I obviously knew it was over and was just making fun of you guys that were egging him on to demand the world from the dealer before you even knew what the dealership would offer him.

And don't ever tell me what to post or not post.
