    Safety first. ;)

Is it normal for it to be that cold there?

Yes, we get cold blasts like this. Don't really like it. Our average temp for this time of year is in the 20s. Tomorrow it should warm up to 5 degrees.

I get a kick out of the extreme temp differences between here and there. Our extreme here is 120 in the summer and your extreme is -20. That's a 140 degree difference...totally crazy stuff to me.

Yes Ribeye Caps. Normally 3 Spinalis Dorsi tied together with a string. Cut the string and wrap with bacon instead!

Damn State Fair Spiedie Sauce, now you have me jealous. And hungry again already!

I will second that motion! Went out to the deck to have a cigar and a rare nightcap before I went to bed. Nova came and pawed at the door to come out. He walked out on the deck and turned right around and went back inside and stared at me from inside. You already know how smart Tollers are

Now I am waiting for the feeling to come back in my toes and fingers. Did wear a hat with flaps down and even zipped my jacket up this time. But damn... Can't wait until next week  Build the wall now...

I see the temperatures (and time difference) between Az. Fl. and Mn. every day at work. Yeah it is crazy. We all pick on each other depending in the time of year.

And then there was Oct. 27, 2017

    Warming up to 5°

20’s I can deal with, even 5 degrees but when it goes into the negatives that’s just seems crazy.

When I was 50 I shot clay targets in twenties below zero quite often, air temperature, windchill much lower sometimes. Now that I am 60 it has to be in the upper 20's. Above zero. Or warmer. Preferably much warmer and no wind. And have no desire to sleep on the ground anymore either or the back of the truck.

I'm with Martin the extreme temps for the High Desert is 120 and it not to uncommon to have 1-2 weeks of 115° plus temps around late June to mid July

Also being at an elevation of near 4k ft I've even had it snow up here and temps as low as 15°-20°

Now what's wild to see is Winter time in Hawaii !!! . Temps can get as cold as 65° and you'll see the locals dressed in down jackets, gloves and even scarfs

My dogs stare out the sliding glass door when it's 65 degrees or below.

The weather here is a blessing and a curse. The first couple months of spring/summer and it turns into a ghost town. The snowbirds clear out and you can finally get a seat in a restraunt but the local places start closing for summer. By August you're just tired of sweating and look forward to some relief. Sept hits, the snowbirds swoop and the next thing you know traffic has slowed to a crawl, you can't get into a restraunt and you park on the far side away from the doors at the store because you're going to get a door ding or the rest of the lot is totally packed.

Morning all. Hair cut day. In reality, it's mainly a beard trim as there's not much hair to cut up there. I also have to make a run to either HD or HF. Parents have a clogged drain and I need to pick up a pipe snake. I told Dad to call the plumber but he refused and either he goes to the store or I do. Other drivers in the area would prefer it was me on the road...
