What's up fellas. I'm moving my family to Evans in March.

Originally from Tennessee, but have been in the military for the last 20 yrs. Spent time in California and got into racing MX for a number of years. Looking to hopefully make some new friends with similar interests. The last 10 years have been mostly racing hare scrambles, playing drums in various bands, building all kinds of vehicles in my garage and shooting firearms... Typical guy stuff I suppose.

I have a 4 yr. old son whom is obsessed with "monster trucks" (any truck larger than him) so I'm thinking of getting the whole fam into wheelin, seeing as how we have a 2016 4Runner now as well as a good 4X4 Taco.

Made some quick fist mounts for the bed from scrap metal at work.
I’m surprised at how well they turned out.

I’m likely gonna have them do my sliders when they come in. The skids are still in my garage in ‘prep’ mode, with more work to be done before I’m ready to paint.

Looks good! I’m considering that tire and size for my next set. I’d expect the 285s and SCS wheels to require a healthy CMC to avoid rubbing while cycling the suspension.

Holy hell was it a day. We had one of my 4runner buddies come with us (so 3 rigs in total). A ton of river crossings that were 4 feet deep or so. It was a little sketchy tbh. Got to one river crossing and decided to go a different rout as we couldn't see the bottom or a decent line to take. So that rout took us to a cool water fall.

There was another one farther away but it was getting late so we turned around. And that's where it started to get shitty. We had made the trail super slick as well as all the rain we had so I had to winch myself 3 times, smacked into a tree and got a nice new dent :frusty: Then to top it all off @bryanbyers28 was going up one of the last tough spots and bent a tie-rod. Didn't have a spare but O'Reilys did so we went down and got it. Holy hell what a damn day Saturday was :bananadead:

It was like Adventure Off-road Park but with a bunch of water crossings and no entrance fee. A bunch of places to camp too, we'll be going back once we get closer to drought season haha

I think I’ll wait until all the mud attempts to dry, then I’ll take it out!

That looks like a pretty sweet little place, def want to take my dirt bike out there.
You said it was a pretty large place? How long would you say you could spend out there wheeling? A days worth or a couple days?
Any places to pull up in with a trailer and setup camp at the trail head?

It will be hard finding any reviews on Smoking Gun, as they have been an in-house shop in which they have been Powder Coating their clients Land Cruiser stuff. Aka, you would not know about it unless you went there or had work done by them.
However, this has changed recently as my buddy Z has taken over the Powder side of things, thus more availability to Powder others stuff.

Well the entrance or "gate keeper" is a pretty big river so not sure. But we ran in to a guy on a side x side and he said it's at least a full days ride for most of the trails. I'd say you could spend a whole weekend if not more up there, including kayaking and what not.

I wouldn't say you at the trail head but about 10 minutes in there becomes more and more spots to camp
