Just got a new stereo system installed with the help of Mr. Marv. I also bought a sticker from HoosierTacoma08 and made it into the start screen of my Kenwood 6960 head unit (with his permission, if you want the graphic PM him and see if you can work something out)...Thought I'd throw a couple photos up to share. The TRD is actually more red than what shows in the photos.

I was thinking about picking up one of these units. How do you like it so far?

Thanks Kyle, Hoosiertacoma08 sent the file to me that he made a sticker from...I had to tweak it a bit to make the resolution work for the headunit...Once done it was easy to upload it....

if you're going to do it you have to do it via the USB port which is in the back of the radio...(Kind of odd that they don't let you do it via the SD slot in the front of the radio)...so do it before you finish your installation or run a USB cable to the glove box from the radio and leave it there while you're installing the head unit.

I like it...I chose Kenwood cause of the Garmin gps interface. I was thinking about the more expensive unit but didn't think I'm enough of an "audiophile" to notice the difference or justify spending the extra money. For how I use it I think it's great.

Sweet. That's why i was looking at it too. I was thinking about one of the higher models too but just can't justify the extra cash

By the way, here's how to change the startup screen:

    1. Press SRC + eject and while you have those two buttons pushed in use a pen and hit the “reset” button.
    2. Let go of the reset but keep the SRC and Eject buttons pressed in until the backlighting on those buttons appear…then you can let go.
    3. Wait until the on screen menu appears and then insert a thumb drive into the USB port (make sure the picture is in the root directory…not buried in a folder).
    4. Choose OEM image and browse for the new picture on your thumb drive, select it and then hit the set button and you’re done.
