-Swapped grille with an aluminum black powder coated grille
-Put black inserts in my tailgate letters
    -Bed mat
    -Plasti dipped my badges

Only other thing I'd like to possibly do is get black shells for my chrome bumper or plasti dip them.

Mostly stock and I love it! When my stock tires do wear I plan on going a bit more aggressive.

But for the most part love the stock!

Even in the stock configuration, it's a very capable offroad rig. Especially with the rear locker, crawl control, multi terrain select etc.

Same here ... I’ve done a few “mods” but they are parts from other Tacoma trim levels (e.g. Pro Grille, Fogs, Shifter, center Caps)

Stock? No. There are some really useful mods like the gasshole, dmm, or tacoweide radio knobs. Suspension lift, wheels and over sized tires? Naw, there are a lot better options out there for off road vehicles then my 35k tacoma.

I'm on a 5-year/50,000 drivetrain warranty and I'm a broke college student, so stock for now. Also loving the 22-23 MPGs I get...That said, when these tires wear out, I'm going up a size and getting a more aggressive tread pattern. I'd like aluminum wheels at some point, as well. I loved my lifted Cherokee, but I didn't do it up, so I had death wobble issues, as well as slip yoke vibrations from the transfer case not being dropped or not doing a slip yoke eliminator kit. Only "mods" to my Tacoma are LED interior light, toolbox, Husky mud flaps, decals/stickers, CB radio+antenna, window visors, and an LED bar in the front bumper (Bad night vision and lots of deer). I'd like to add some factory options that I didn't get, having a regular cab. Things like factory fog lights, a hitch receiver, maybe tonneau cover for the portion of bed not taken up by the toolbox (we get lots of snow/rain), bed mat, MAYBE remote start/central locks, etc. I'd also like to upgrade the sound system. Overall, not gonna go crazy with this truck exterior-wise. Probably a few more lights and if it wont void warranty or after warranty is over, Bilstein 5100s.

I’m happy with my truck in stock form. It’s an SR with convenience package so it has everything I need in a daily driver and the most off-road action it might see is beach driving. I’ve added a few light mods to aid with recovery and storage but have not touched the suspension or drivetrain. I wouldn’t mind better shocks or a low mileage take-off TRD OR suspension with some better tires but that’s as far as I plan to take it. I also have another vehicle that I use for the trails so I can’t really justify heavily modifying the Tacoma.

I only do mods 1) that can be easily returned to stock, and 2) only those that I deem “functional and necessary” like trailer brake controller (RedArc), air bags (Air Lift), tailgate Pop N Lock, etc.

I try to keep mine pretty stock until something breaks out of warranty then I don't get the OEM part, I upgrade. It takes a while since nothing went or 'broke' on my old tacoma until around 95,000 miles. I should mention though I am only talking about major components. I don't consider different tires, lights, and cosmetic upgrades mod's so technically if you're going off that I'm not stock.

I'm happy with minor mods like adding mud flaps, a toolbox, bed mat, nerf bars. No need for debadging, removing anything shiny, big tires, or Raptor lights.

Have had my truck for 5 years and those 2 mods are the only ones I have done as well (camper shell and 265/75/16 tires). Unless you count WeatherTech mats and a Bedmat as mods, but I don't really.

I have never left a vehicle stock. In fact my very first truck (1994 Nissan SE-V6) ended up as a SAS, dual locked, bobbed-bed monstrosity.

Am I content staying stock... yes and no.

When I first got on TW, I was like "man I need a lift, new wheels and tires, etc." But I have a pavement princess. And my mostly stock look is starting to grow on me!

My problem is boredom, and having money to blow. You get this itch after doing a few small mods. You start wondering what's next.

I'm like a fat person after New Year's with a chocolate cake on their counter. No matter how much I tell myself I don't need it (the cake representing wheels/tires/lift/etc.), I can't just let that cake go to waste :(

The moral of the story is that there are starving children in Africa, so you should mod your Tacoma.
