I tried putting on chains, and the ones I had are garbage, so I need new ones. It is kinda a hassle, but my mortgage is almost 1k a month on almost an acre, so it's worth it imo

He straps them to his prinsu. That's why his cap rack is always empty.

The question is, does he hang them out the window, or are they removed and thrown in the spare parts box

All this talk of mountain bikes makes me think back on the DH bike I had back in NM. I sold it when I moved out here for pennies on the dollar. It was a Mountain Cycle Sin frame with a Marzocchi 888 Bomber fork. I built the bike from a bare frame minus the wheels which I had the local shop build after I ordered all the parts.

This isn't my bike, but same color. Apparently, I've deleted all the pictures that I had online after I sold it.

Yesterday I managed to tear the wiring on my rear ABS sensor right at the plug, so nothing left to solder to. Toyota is dumb and wants $100 for the rear axle harness, but I found an aftermarket one for $60! Go ebay.

You need some like these. I've really only seen them on farm and OHV but those spikes really do work on icy conditions. When I lived in WY all the construction sites, road graders, etc ran these nasty looking things. Every car and truck had studded tires or some sort of HD chain on them.

After yesterdays fiascos, I decided fuck CB radio. Within our common wheeling group, there are always issues with someones radio, and the range and clarity suck. We had handheld hams that worked amazing yesterday, but only half of the people had them, and the batteries died near the end of the day. I'm going to get a vehicle mounted ham for more range and continue to use handheld for spotting, recovery, etc. Even if you don't get a license, you can still get a cheap radio for $30 and listen to what's going on. I urge everyone to get one if you're gonna come out because clear comms makes all the difference.

    Gents,

What’s a good mechanic for our tacos near fairfax? I’m off Braddock road just outside the beltway.

    Thanks!

Are you still going to keep CB as a backup?

Buy this bad boy right now. More range and clarity than a CB set up, no need for external antenna, and way cheaper. To talk on it you technically need a ham license but with it set up properly on the right frequency, no one's the wiser. But I recommend getting a license because it's $15 and maybe 4 hours of studying.

I will, because it seems silly to uninstall something that's already in my truck. I just won't use it anymore majority of the time.
