I own a building maintenance company and 90% of the time run with a small set of dewalt tstak tool boxes in my current truck. The fold flat rear seats will work okay but it looks fairly easy to remove the seat bottoms from the 60% side which would give me more room. . Is it really just a couple of bolts?

Has anyone removed the seat bottoms and then made any sort of platform to level out the floor or do anything special to add more inside tool storage? In my old truck I built a platform to make the under seat area more level. I only have one child so I can leave half the seats out 95% of the time as long as can put it back once or twice a year when we take a road trip.

I am just looking for ideas for creating the most tool storage inside the cab. I did some forum searches but didn't find much.

I took mine out of my 13 when I installed Katskin leather. It is really simple to remove. No experience on tool platforms.

Someone on here, removed hinge pins and installed a cotterless ring pin for easy removal of seat bottom. You can do this also and build removable platform, or just fold seat back down. Thinking of doing same. Because with bottom of seat folded forward, and back folded down I can't move driver seat all the way back.
