I was happy with stock until I saw everything here(fuckers), but I'm content with just wheels and tires. I realistically don't need a lift for any of the offroading I do

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
No, I want to make it "mine". Adding the chromed letters to the tailgate, WeahterTech floor mats, LED fog lights, whatever - it's now a unique truck. Add the KO2s, lift kit, skid plates, rock sliders, and SSO bumper and it's a one of a kind!

    minor tweaks
If you see a mod you like, then do it, if none of them appeal to you then don't touch anything. There's lots of mods that have zero negative impact on the value or performance so just saying no to all mods seems a bit stupid to me. I get not wanting to lift the truck if it's not needed and the associated headaches could be troublesome. IMO there's plenty of minor mods that increase the convenience and/or driving experience and don't negatively impact resale value. Things like improving your stereo, adding tie down points to the bed, 400W anytime mod, interior 110V outlet inside the truck are all things that I've added to a basically stock SR5 TRD. I also added better shocks and sumo springs, both mods to address shortfalls IMO to the original design. Truck still drives great, handles better and now I can now carry stuff in the bed w/o bottoming out. The OP may have these conveniences in the trim level he purchased, for many of us some of these mods adds some of the things we liked about another trim level w/o financing the extras at purchase time which can be expensive.

The best advice I can give you is don't go looking for mods to do if you don't want to catch the bug eventually. It all started with black wheels on a Toyota Corolla, and now I'm $2500 deep in tires and wheels, did Bilstein 5100s, short shifter, head unit, tint, exhaust with cutout, etc. I want to do an LED conversion eventually and the Clazzios but I think im gonna wait till my upholstery gets in a bit worse condition. Long story short, a lot of stuff that was not necessary but I caught the bug a bit...

I wish I had stayed stock sometimes. The trucks do great offroad with just decent tires and 4wd. I rarely go offroad as much as I thought I would. I lifted mine and put on 33's with only 200 on the odo, had no issues with it but now that it's hit 70k, I'm starting to see some wear and tear on components. And now I've added armor, skids, sliders, lights, aftermarket suspension, etc, so I'm in too deep to go through the trouble of yanking all that stuff off, and honestly having a winch and armor is pretty awesome when I actually need it. Oh well, at least I look cool driving down the highway.

I will do my best to leave mine stock for now minus odd and ends. The Pro suspension suits my needs and I don't want to raise it to make it harder to get my bikes in the bed. The only thing that has to go fairly soon are the speakers.

Don't mod unless I really need to. I don't care to look unique or have gadgets etc.

    Pure stock
Pure stock for me but it's my daily driver. Better gas mileage, better stopping than oversized tires, no vibrations in the driveline, better acceleration, better handling, and less maintenance. The main benefit of modifying the suspension is looks for 90% of users. They do look better. I admit there are a small percentage that wants to rock climb and so need to modify the truck. For the masses, stock is very capable. Now I don't consider adding an extra electrical outlet, larger alternator, higher capacity battery, improved sound system, and new light bulbs much of a modification. Other than adding a supercharger to a 1st/2nd generation there is nothing that will make any noticeable power increase.

This is exactly what I mean when I say be conservative and put some thought into the mods before grabbing tools.

To answer the threads main question.

Yes, I am very much happy with my stock nearly $40k expenditure. But like anything, if I can afford to make an improvement or something that I can customize like wheels and such, of course I'm going to. But for cost vs practicality, I'll be mostly stock for quite some time.

That's really it. I'm modifying my truck based on the experience I've had on previous trucks up to this point. That cuts both ways, I'm *not* doing some mods this time that weren't worthwhile.

This site will wear you down eventually. Guaranteed! That said, I am close to stock, just a couple of bolt on mods and tint.
However, my truck came with the SR5 alloys, I don't think I could live with a set of steelies. I gotta have some bling!
