Feel like I need more lighting when in underground mall parking lots, looking for a very basic setup. Pretty much just for looks but obviously still functional.

Decided I want to run a pair of KC Halogen Daylighters.

Just need help with mounting solutions. I want something basic, cheap and minimalist. I've searched and haven't really found anything but the idea is to make it look like i'm just mounting the lights on a stock front end.

Excellent choice on lights. I’d go with the spread pattern which is close to a driving light high beam pattern. If you look at the specs the halogen lights actually outperform the LED ones. @Taylor@KC HiLiTES may be able to hook you up with a discount.

For mounting, I think a behind the grill option is cleanest, but this does involve getting a custom grill and fabbing some kind of mount. It won’t perform quite as well behind the grill as in front of it. The easiest is to just run a simple bull bar with light mounts.

Definitely want them hanging out in front, sort of 1980s style. I guess a bull bar is what I'm looking for, are there many to chose from?

And I'm guessing daylighters are street legal? Hoping to wire them up so that they turn on with the low beams.

This is about the cleanest I've found.

Or just a regular light bar, Westin makes a good one.

I’m not very familiar with the bull bar options for 3rd gen, you’d have to do some googling. I do dig the retro style though.

The Daylighters are definitely not something you can run with the low beams on the street. They are extremely bright and a high beam pattern, it would be like driving around with your brights on, on massive steroids. I’d personally wire them so they automatically came on with your high beams using a relay.

If your looking for a bit better performance in your low beams, check out the GE Megalight +130s, covered here:

I'd be happy to help with a discount! The halogen Daylighter are not street legal, but the driving beam pattern on the Gravity LED Daylighters are (as long as they're mounted in line/below the headlights).

To clarify, even with a street legal driving beam pattern, they are not something you can run with vehicles ahead of you on the street where you would use low beam headlights. Driving beam = high beam/brights. They have a street legal high beam pattern. In that regard, since they are both effectively high beam I would go with the Daylighters for better output.

Yes, great clarification. You can run them on the road, but I wouldn't run them if someone is within a few hundred yards of you otherwise you'll piss em off haha.

Not sure you need off road lights for this.
They are definitely not street legal.
Do not wire them to your low beams..
