Anyone in sac running an aftermarket exhaust on a 3rd gen? I'd love to hear it. I had a flowmaster on my 2nd gen but wasn't crazy about it. Got a 3rd gen now. This thing is crazy quiet.

    There's a beer in it for u.

Be careful on exh modifications as AB1824 is a new Calif law as of Jan 01 2019 . Allows law enforcement to issue tickets to vehicles louder than 95db's .also a trip to a BAR referee is included and any mods done and not CARB approved will result into fine of up to $1k

I would think any TRD stuff should be fine (not 100% sure though) pretty sure there is a TRD exhaust option for 3rd gen tacos. Love the TRD exhaust on my Scion TC..

The irony here is that the law hasn’t changed. The fine has.

Nothing new as far as regulation.

If you have a TRD exhaust, it comes with a factory part number. Can’t go wrong with that.

All these folks lookin for pitchforks over nothin new. Yes, the new is the difference between a fix it ticket and now it’s a fine to be paid. But, still, if they didn’t pop ya before, the likelihood of them poppin ya now is slim to none. However, if you don’t play the polite game, I’m sure they will look for something to make you cry in your Wheaties over.

    I’m sorry.

I fuckin love this state. It’s where I’ve grown up. It’s where I educated myself( and continue to learn from others). It’s where I met my wife. It’s where I plan to raise my daughter. It’s also where I play outdoorsman. Lots to love here.

Except massive taxes, housing crisis and rampant over-regulation. But yeah, enjoy.

Look for the joy in your life. If it doesn’t spark joy, leave it on the curb...

Isn’t it something like that? This Marie Kondo thing has taken hold in our home. Looking forward to clean and organized kitchen drawers again.

Agree, TRD exhaust is fine since its OEM as well.

TRD/OEM has nothing to do with it, nor does manufacturers part number. You can put whichever exhaust you want on your vehicle, as long as you pass the visual for cats, emmisions and are under the 95db limit.

The issue in California is on the intake side. If you wish to change this and be CA compliant, it would need a CARB EO sticker or placard.

Edit. I’m referring to a cat back exhaust.

That's good advice. There really isn't much worth getting mad over. It's like the Dalai Lama said -
“If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”

I might have to get a Marie Kondo book. I'm a minimalist or at least try to be. Well, I am until I look at my truck stuff.
If don't use something at least once a year I either start using it or I sell/donate/discard it.
