    Morning all. Tuesday...
Some snow in the forecast for tonight/tomorrow, which means I'm plowing after work. GF's dad is still down for the count with broken ribs, which means that after I plow my driveway in the AM and then go to work for my 10 hour shift I'll spend the evening plowing their driveway & yard, their barn, her brother's driveway, her uncle's driveway, and her grandmother's driveway. Now I'm really glad I got the new set up for this year; doing all that with the '84 would destroy my knee.

I just put on the Dueler AT revo 3 Only bee on a week, no off roading yet. they arent noisy at speed and they seem fine on gravel roads with some mud puddles. on the road, they throw water out from deep puddles pretty well, even at 35MPH

That is a LOOOOT of brownie points. I like to help out where I can with my in-laws, but I'd be expecting a damn good meal and a backrub when I got home after that!

Wow, I wish I was related to you then I wouldn't have to plow my driveway.

This'll be the second time I've done it; he broke them three days before that big storm we had a couple of weekends ago. We got a call in the afternoon of that snow day asking if we could plow, lol. Nothing like advance notice...Fortunately that storm was on a Sunday, since it took me nearly 3 hours to get everything cleared for them (by the time they called me it was already winding down and there was around a foot on the ground)
In addition to plowing all of these properties on the day of the storm (because people live there), I'm also plowing two other lots for them at my own convenience; their camp and a house that they were working on flipping before he broke his ribs.

Fortunately they all live within 5 minutes of each other, so there's not a lot of traveling from site to site.
Unfortunately, they live almost 30 minutes from me, lol. Usually I don't mind having the 'inlaws' that far away, but for this it's sort of inconvenient.

Hpmh. I don't mind plowing, but it's a lot to spend that kind of time doing it after working a full shift.

Man if it's gonna snow at least make it enough to get me out of work. Although I have the benefit of getting paid snowdays without touching my vaca/earned time

Wouldn't that be nice! Snowdays and sickdays don't exist for me, I am all set up to work at home. But I miss my dual 50" monitors. It's hard to bid construction documents on a single 32" monitor which is what I run at home. The only time I truly get a break is when the power at the office goes down, which is very rare.

50" monitors? that's basically a tv! Do you need all that space to look at floor plans, blueprints, etc?

Hell yeah! We used to have 50" touch screens for plans at one of my site office. It's pretty neat, but I still prefer a paper set.

Yeah I never expected to be able to sit for that long. A few breaks to pee and have a bit to eat of course but it was definitely a long day haha

Makes sense, that is a pretty nifty tool.

The touch screens were neat, and I think the Project Manager at the time was thinking they'd work like an Ipad where you could easily scroll through drawings. The problem is, the graphics cards or processor or whatever for the big ass touch screen TV was not nearly as quick and intuitive as a small, hand held Ipad. The touch screen very rarely got used, it was just an overpriced monitor at the end of the day.

They are TV's, Sony Vizio's. We have to look at plan sets at 100% or more and they can be really big prints. I'm glad I stopped bidding and building Stop and Shops, they had some crazy format for their plans like 36" x 60". I remember having to get them printed somewhere else because our plotter, which is like a $17k machine mind you, wouldn't print that big. Thankfully most everything is 24 x 36" now but even that, I need to be able to view at 100% or bigger.
