I was referring to interstates where people are in the passing lane and not passing

I hate it when I am in the left lane obviously passing someone and behind someone else and some a-hole comes flying up behind me all over the bumper. I wish I had a programmable sign that could say "Look buddy I can only go as fast as the asshole in front of me not as fast as the asshole behind me."

Totally agree in traffic or stacked up with people in front of you....but if on an open highway with little traffic....if I'm doing 85 in the left lane and you are doing "the speed limit".....please move over Sally it's less safe for me to go around you....as well as the left lane is technically for "passing".

I'm not saying be a light flashing bumper riding dick....that's bullshit.....but if in the situation I described I appreciate the courtesy and will do the same for the 90 plus guy coming up on me.

I'll take the occasional ticket the Valentine One doesn't catch....

Yes if I’m not passing anyone, I’m in the right lane.

I've tried the adaptive cruise numerous times and I don't like it. If I set it to 75mph, I don't want to "adapt" to some guy going 65mph.

It's too easy to forget the adaptive cruise (and not regular cruise) is on because it decelerates to match the other guy's speed too smoothly. Then after I've been glued to some idiot driving 5 under the limit for 30 minutes, it finally dawns on me that I've been going slow... Heck with that!

Yah, SO well that when someone merges in front of you it slams on the brakes instead of just coasting.

The adaptive cc has 3 sensitivity settings which defaults to the most sensitive at start. This can be cycled through and adjusted on the steering wheel.

You can turn the adaptive off the way that was mentioned above, and i believe there is also another way to disable it in settings.

I think we need a cruise control option that sees the speed of the vehicle in front of you and makes a pass determination. Then puts your happy ass in the right lane where it belongs until you're ready to pass again. So many people in the left lane that shouldn't be.

Unless you drive like a little old lady and don't encounter traffic, it is junk. I recently took a long trip and hated it. You have to pay attention to the traffic around you and if you get a turtle in front of you that you are closing in at speed, it will nearly launch you through the windshield. Then once you get out from behind them the pedal goes to the floor to get back to speed. Your results may vary.

It'd be really awesome if there were a way to deactivate the braking.

Agreed. It just goes from gas to brake without any warning. A little logic built into the programming could fix that.

Glad I found this because I'm an avid user of cruise control in the city and it will slow me down super hard even when he car in front of me has already turned and not even in front of my truck anymore. I hate it. Now I can try this trick after work and not use it anymore.

The only reason I think I'd like it is if I'm following someone on the highway on a long trip and I need to stay behind them matching there speed. Then this radar stuff would be amazing.

You don’t have to use radar cruise. With cruise off, long press the cruise activation button on the stalk until it changes to the constant speed mode in the dash display. Now it will act like classic cruise control.

Regrettably, I don’t find radar cruise very useful on the highway, either, because the maximum follow distance is still too close to the vehicle in front of me, at least here on the open roads of the West.

I just wish there was a way to set which is the default cruise control mode for the quick press. I use constant speed 99% of the time.

I don't like it sometimes either. When you come up on a car and are going to pass it sees the car and hits the brakes. I don't like fighting it. If I forget to lower the distance sometimes I will be way back from a car and finally notice I am going 10 mph slower and didn't realize it slowed down. Usually it hits the brakes hard enough that I notice though.
