Question about original emblems

I just picked up a 2003 TRD OR V6 SR5 that was repainted to match the factory green, but the tailgate badges weren’t replaced. I’d like to restore it to its original look but I’m not sure what should go underneath “Tacoma.” Scrolling through pictures of other Tacos I’ve seen “Prerunner V6” and “SR5 V6”. When I search for the badges online I can only find a set that says “Prerunner SR5”

Can someone please tell me what the original badges would have said?

 

I had the same situation. The “Tacoma SR5” is the only option available that I could find. Tried to find the “V6” but no luck, so I purchased the former haven’t thought about it since. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

 

PreRunner is 2WD. Your truck should say SR5 v6

 

V6 badge was discontinued iirc... Online price if you can find it out there will be through the roof.

Only real option is to use a 2nd gen badge and those are way to big and blocky imo. That or vinyl. Happy hunting & welcome to TW!

 

there are one or two peeps on TW that make stickers, TVD decals ? is one, the other I cant locate atm... maybe they will chiome in.

 

CBoy808 makes a bunch of stuff, I got a badge kit from him and love it!
