I just finished a trailer frame for a customer and used timben suspension on it.

It has the 3500 lbs., long off road arms with the 4 inch lift spindles. The trailer has electric breaks and a mechanical parking break. The trailer will receive a 4x6 box that’s 27 inches tall and have storage for Jerry cans up front. The tires are 35 inch BFGoodrich that match the customers Jeep.

I'll have to get some better pics of the Timbrens. This is my off road teardrop trailer with 1 tonne axle-less suspension PN#ASR1THDS02. I am just finishing up the build. Teardrop is a little on the heavy side. I might have to upgrade the spring after I see how it rides and weigh the trailer

That's pretty sweet. Do you have some sort of build thread for the trailer?

It's not a Timbren suspension but I've been running the load bearing bumpstops on the 1st gen few a few years now. They're super nice.

I’ve been looking into these. I’ll get the frame and shit built then (depending on budget) probably go with these. The 3500’s with the lift spindles.

Trailer update. Here is the good part.

The trailer is finished except for mounting the hardshell roof top tent. Its first outing was the Mojave trail. It did great and the owner is very happy with it. The trailer has a 20 gallon water tank, 2 260 amp hour 6 volt trojan batteries, propane water heater, 200 watts solar, an 80 quart arb fridge, 3 large sliding drawers, and stroage for 2 5 gallon jerry cans. Future mods will include a magnum inverter charger and a propex heater for the roof top tent.

    Here is the bad.

    Mojave 1 Freespirt 0

We had a spindle failure just after Soda lake. Its a 2000 pound non brake unit. The owner was warned of this happening when we put the 33's on it. Thank God for SuperDutys and my heavy duty trailer. We were very greatfull for the group of 15 or so tacomas and 4runners that stop just in time to help load it into the truck bed. The ford was renamed SherpaDuty!

What model are your Timbrens? I’m building a trailer but I need it to sit a lot higher than that? I’m looking at the 4” lift option.

I went with the Timbren 1 Tonne with long spindle arms PN# ASR1THDS02. I also have wheels/tires to match the truck. That gives me 20" clearance from the ground to the bottom of the trailer. That should get me anywhere I want to go. Teardrop is a little to big to do any rock crawling or anything.

I actually am going to get the teardrop weighed next week so hopefully I made the right choice of going with the 1 tonne instead of the 3500 lbs. I can upgrade if I need to though
