To be a "ASE Certified shop" they only have to have ONE Master tech on staff. Everybody else would be "preferred but not required"to have some sort of ASE Certification, even if that's just a P1 for automotive parts. Personally, I would ask who the tech was, whether he/she has extensive experience and the service log of that job. But hell, I'm just a cynical bastard when it comes to someone else working on my vehicles...

I did that too;) Chantilly to Aldie in ~20 min. The right lane was wide open and the speed limit is 55. Everyone else was doing 20mph.

If no one's gonna do the limit and there's room :bananadance:

i have no idea why either for the most part. the roads were just wet, they might just now be freezing over. it was basically a rain storm.

Just to clarify, it is a shop that a friend of mine owns, and only he personally works on my vehicles. I don't trust other people working on my cars either, so he gets stuck with all the jobs i don't want to do.

It was a bit more than a rain storm out west here. We have about 2.5” of snow here in Warrenton with a nice amount of slush that will be ice by morning.

    A thing or two...
It was a rain/snow mix down this way but just wet roads. I took backroads where I could because I didn't want to deal with traffic. Had to though to get back into VA and to my house. Speed limit or slower once I got back on the main roads.

According to my dad Mountain Rd was quite comical... 4 cars stuck on the side of the road and 2 cars stuck trying to go up my private driveway. He went right around with his outback.

    Evening All!

Not to jack up the current topic... Sounds like some of you all had an interesting day last weekend.

Right on, for you all making it out with all vehicles, body parts and maybe some soiled draws.

Getting some experience in f'ed up situation is always good. and the best in my opinion.

    Rock on, guys.

We definitely had lessons learned. I gained a lot from that trip, even though it stopped being fun halfway through. Useful for sure.

How far down past the Farm Brewery is that? My friend and I were driving back to Warrenton from DC this afternoon and decided to take the back way in his WRX. We saw a bus sideways on one of the roads that goes left toward 29 about 2-3 miles past the brewery (I don't know the road names back there). The roads were pretty sketchy to say the least.
