Bad ass! My favorite color next to Silver.
Does your truck sit lower on the drivers side?

    Looks great! Nice wheels.

Does your truck sit evenly in the front? I'm worried that I will get too much lift if I use the 887's with the 1/4" top plate spacer on drivers sdie.

    Thank You

Thanks! Yep there was still forward rake even with a 1/4" on the drivers side (with dakar leaves in the back).

I've since changed up the wheels and added a bit of weight to both the front and back and still have some forward rake. I've put about 60k on the OME setup so sometime in the spring I'm going to replace everything and go with HD dakars and 1/4" on the passenger and 1/2" on the drivers to level it out a little more.

I'm looking at the 885 or 887 coils but maybe the ome shocks as well and the 3 leaf AAL. Looking for info on how level that would be. Don't want nose up. Minor rake is ok. I have safety recall leaf springs.
Your truck looks good. May have to look closer at Bilstein..

885 you'll be close to factory rake and can keep the stock UCAs, 887s will be close to level but not quite, tail is still up a bit but I'd recommend changing to aftermarket UCAs for better alignments.

For that extra 1/2 inch in the front and better alignments you're looking at another $500.

Does that hold true for the OME shocks as well as the Bilstein? Any ideas?

    OME 885, Bilstein 5100's, Wheeler's (single) AAL
EXACTLY! The debate for me is do I go with the 885 and raise the front 2.25" and then raise the back 1.5" to reduce rake slightly, or do I pay the extra $500-700 to go to 887's, UCA's, and get closer to level? Its a tough choice, and I still don't know what I'll do.

FWIW - for anyone looking to buy from Headstrong, I received this info from Marie on Monday.

Much of spring selection comes down to how much lift you are looking at. ARB has recently changed their coils so we are reworking our lift height guide. This is what we have come up with so far. These numbers are based on customer feedback and should only be used as a guide and not gospel.

NOTE: The lift achieved from any kind of spring, whether it is a leaf spring or a coil spring, is a variable lift. Meaning that the amount of lift achieved can vary. Depending on the condition of your factory components (where applicable), how they respond to the added suspension, the overall weight of the vehicle and any add-ons added (bumpers, batteries, tool boxes, covers, light bars, skids, sliders, etc) and manufacturing tolerances of the spring themselves can all influence how much lift you can see from either spring. We provide the average after settled lift height that we have seen from clients running the suspension but with averages some people get more or less lift.

OME 884 coils 590 lbs spring rate 390 mm in length (approx. 1.75” of lift on a base stock weight 05-15 4dr 4wd v6 auto, approx. 1” of lift on a base stock weight 2016-current 4dr 4wd v6 auto)
OME 885 Coils 590 lbs spring rate 395 mm in length (approx. 2.25” of lift on a base stock weight 05-15 4dr 4wd v6 auto, approx. 1.5” of lift on a base stock weight 2016-current 4dr 4wd v6 auto)
OME 886 coils 660 lb spring rate 402 mm in length (not recommended to be run on the 5100's)
OME 887 coils 590 lb spring rate 400 mm in length (approx. 2.75” of lift on a base stock weight 05-15 4dr 4wd v6 auto, approx. 2” of lift on a base stock weight 2016-current 4dr 4wd v6 auto)

These numbers are based on the 5100's being set at the 0 setting. Yes the Bilsteins are adjustable by changing the notch setting up on the shock body. However by doing this with a lift coil, you compound lift. So instead of seeing around 0.85" (on the 2nd gen 5100's) or 0.65” (on the 3rd gen 5100's) of extra lift you may see an 1"+ more lift. Plus there are other issues at play here like potential coil bind issues. Also by adding additional preload you can affect the ride quality as well.

    Upper control Arms:

The rule of thumb on the uca ’s is the closer you get over the 2.5” lift mark toward 2.5”+ of lift the more necessary they become in order to get your truck back into alignment. So at 2” you are typically fine not running them, at 2.5” you are on the cusp of whether they are needed or not, and at 3” you pretty much need them. Of course there are exceptions to every rule.

Very good information. Thank you. I'm wondering about using the OME shocks and I'm how that would affect the amount of lift with the same coils. I have heard good things. Maybe I will contact Marie before I purchase. Going to be a little while...

I like your setup. I am actually looking to do the exact same thing. The only kicker is that i am a second gen, short box. Any idea on how that weight difference may affect the stance? Last thing i want is to be past level (nose high). Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I have no idea on that setup with a 2nd gen, I've only owned 1st and 3rd gens.

I purchased them before they had two options. But I’m pretty sure their old option was most comparable to the HD version now.
