I know there are various opinions on the subject but I'm just going to throw my experience out there. I recently changed batteries to an Odyssey group 34R pc1500 and I am very pleased with the battery. Although I did purchase mine locally, you can get them with free 2 day shipping (prime member) from Amazon. You will need an adjustable battery tie down, like the one from @Coupe, which worked perfect.

Anyone tried the new Northstar Elite series yet ? Its a bit cheaper than the regular Northstar.

My battery just died on me last night. I'm probably going with am Interstate from Costco. I put one in our 4Runner as well. We went up to Durango CO in it over New Year's when temps were below freezing the entire time with a couple feet of snowfall. 4Runner started up first try every time with out issue.

I'm getting ready to replace my Optima red top after 8 years, gets a little slow when cranking in sub zero weather. Probably will get another AGM.

Personally, I run Optima Yellow tops but that's because I am occasionally in desolate areas that are very cold and I'm ready to winch. If you offroad at all, my recommendation would be to first narrow your search to an absorbed glass mat battery. As said by others, lots to choose from. I also heard great things about the Deka Intimidator.

Why not stick with interstate. They have the same specs, same warranty.... at half the price.

Show me an Interstate that has the same specs as that Northstar/ X2Power AGM 27F. I’d LOVE to find one that has 195RC for half that price.

Last Friday I put in a 24F Interstate in my 4 cyl Tacoma. Good thing I did as it is 15 below zero today with 30 below wind chills. The old factory battery was starting to complain when the weather was in the plus 20`s. New one cranked the truck over well this morning and it sits outside.

I didn’t have good luck with my yellow top!
Wasn’t impressed with made date when purchased but it was “covered” sure it was.
2 yrs and toasted, I’m an idiot forgot lights overnight got lots of junk running off a remote.
Wife was impressed with air horns when she got home at night.
Did my deal with advance who walked away from any warranty said to contact optima.
Kinda stuck we made a deal on their agm battery been rock solid for the last 4yrs.

That sucks! Maybe I've been lucky. I replaced my original with a yellow top in 2012 or 2013. Never had any issue with it. A few months ago I went to a dual battery setup and bought two new yellow tops. Still have the old one at home as a back up.

Yea like I said it didn’t have a good date to start!
Not bashing it just left a bad taste for me.

I ended up getting the Interstate from Costco. $86 + tax. Seems like a good deal

Came used with brush guard, winch and bed cover.
I thought you had me for a second, but nope, the sentence construction clearly shows that the object of the sentence is "red-top Optima." Good try though.

If I'd said "the previous owner had installed, but then died," you'd have gotten me.

    Same as everybody else...
My Toyota battery is about 5 years old, truck cranks fine even in cold weather. I'm planning on a trip this summer to some fairly remote places and feel that I should replace it ahead of time. Kinda narrowed it down to WM Everlast 5 year or Advanced Auto Gold 5 year. The WM is cheaper by about 50 bucks

I recently had this problem. I have a 08 trd sport. Never changed the battery for 14 yrs (Same oem battery) the brand is by diehard premium. If a battery can last more then 10yrs I'd definitely go with diehard premium
