I've been scouring the forum the last couple days but now I'm just feeling more confused. I'll be installing 5100s on the front only (for the time being) in order to "level" out the truck. I know the consensus to be, if you're installing 5100s on the front only, most go with .85 setting to give about a 1" lift. When I took measurements of drivers side front to back, I'm looking at about a 2" difference. So, my question is....in my particular case, wouldn't setting at the 1.75 put me closer to level +/- a degree from front to back?
    FYI 2016 OR DCSB Thanks!

Measuring the body is an illusion floor to frame is what needs to be level.

I'm sure others with more experience will chime in, but my guess would be that it will be level at .85 because when the front goes up the back goes down.

Disclaimer: I do not have 5100s and I only have enough knowledge of physics to keep me from jumping off of tall buildings

Is .85" a thing? I just did this, and I think with the 3rd gen 5100 the second circlip (one notch above stock) is .65", and the next is 1.1". I didn't take any measurements because nothing around my house is level, and really I just didn't care that much, but visually my truck never appeared to have the claimed amount of factory rake (though I do have a Bakflip tonnea and hitch bike rack installed). I did the .65" and my truck looks level enough for me now.

*Forgive my ignorance* So, measuring from "floor to frame" would give me something other than the (close to) 2" difference?
That would only make sense!

Good to know! I was going off the measurements for the Bilstein 5100 24-239370 via Headstrongs website.

I don’t have 5100s, but I do have the 6112 that I used the 3/4 clip location (Bilstein advertises 1.1” with these settings on my trucks configuration), and it sits just about level. The front is maybe 1/4” lower than the rear. So I’d imagine you’d want more than .85” to level.

measurements should be taken from middle of wheel to bottom of fender> it eliminates improper air pressure and weight loading on tires

I have installed 5100's all around. Put the fronts on the first slip and the truck is leveled. 2017 DCOR

Toytec 1/2” spacer.. $60ish gives 1” of actual levelling upfront ... just sayin.. same result

    (I’m between 5100’s or toytec/headstrong spacers... all of which provide 1” lift/level)

5100s have 5 clips. I set mine to the 4th clip giving me about 1.6in of lift

How long have you had your 6112’s on? I’m looking at putting some under my truck here soon and wondering how yours have held up. Better ride than stock? Have they settled any over time?

This is 2” in front and nothing in the rear so a 2/0 I guess. Isn’t 5100’s but it gives you an idea what 2” in front looks like

I have had them on for around 8 months and 5000 miles. I have had both a 16 TRD OR and a 17 SR, which is what I have the setup on. From what I remember, the stock OR suspension was a little more “plush” than the 6112 and 5160’s, but these absorb hard hits like train tracks, etc much better and they also settle down(not the correct terminology, but it takes less time to settle and quit bouncing after a large hit, if that makes sense)
I think the biggest difference in ride is when hitting a bunch of bumps at high speeds. It’s much smoother. Whereas the stock suspension (especially on my current SR) would really beat you and the truck up.

Now, from what I’ve heard, these are not as plush off-road as Kings or Fox’s, but I think it’s impossible to beat this combo for the money. Plus, I expect much longer service life out of these than the “rebuildable coilovers”. I would rather just replace it all at 80k vs having my truck down every 30k while the coilovers are being rebuilt.
