Truck is an 08 reg cab, I bought a Denso aftermarket radiator. Except for the tranny cooler nipples, it looks exactly like the original. Problem is the radiator cap doesn't seal. The filler neck is too tall. You can hear pressure coming out from the cap. I tried the original and two Toyota caps with no change. Is the radiator not manufactured correctly? I cant find any info about a different cap part number. Radiator is Denso 221-3139

I would contact whoever you bought it from and see if they can help.

You might also go online to the Denso site and ask if they have a recommended cap

    http://www.densoautoparts.com

They show the part you bought as being compat. with the 2.7L and 4.0L engine with auto tranny, but have no listings for radiator caps.

They have a "contact us" section at the site above.

One other thing I just thought of.

If you have no luck getting help from the seller or the Denso site and you have radiator repair shops in your area, call around and see if they sell caps. A lot of these places do. I've resolved this sort of problem before trying out new caps at a local radiator shop for after-market radiators I had sourced for older vehicles I was repairing.

I purchased that radiator last year and original and NAPA brand caps fit perfect.
Check for pressure leaks around cap and neck it may be cracked.
