Getting my snugtop ordered up and going to put the prinsu rack on it for a RTT. I have the prinsu cabrac on my truck now. My question is can I run a longer RTT now (I have the DCSB) and have the tent overlap a bit of my cab now? I would like a bigger tent but don't like it hanging off the back of the length of the truck. My concer in how much does the cab and bed flex on trails and would the tent hit the cab?

Exactly. My concern is I also have the prisu cabrac so the only distance between the front rack and tent would be the height of the mounting rails on the tent. Maybe like an inch or so. The prinsu cabrac and shell rack would line up evenly.

I would think rubbing would be an issue in that situation. The mounts for the rtt do not lift it very far from the rack. It seems as though you could engineer enough space between the two or some sort of padding to soften the blows. Please keep me updated if you decide to go this route, i someday want to have a flat rack across the cab and canopy with the tent over both, but.... I have to solve this bro lean issue first.

I’ve seen it done on either a Prinsu or Frontrunner rack with minimal issues. If anything you could always use a small spacer to pull the RTT off the rack to prevent it from contacting the rack on the cab
