    Hi All.

Just bought my first Tacoma after previously owning a Sequoia and 4runner with great reliability. I have wanted a Taco since high school but had other financial priorities to contend with until the ripe age of 31.

Researched a lot into the vehicle before purchase and was pleasantly surprised with the engine and transmission smoothness on my test drive, after reading horror stories on the internet.

I guess I got lucky with the draw or the 2019's have the proper ECM tuning, but either way Im very happy so far.

Purchased a JL when they first came out and that was a horrid mistake, thank god for resale value at least. I had serious steering issues, body paint problems, electronic issues, poor/terrible welds on the frame. Total nightmare and TBH exactly what I expected from FCA, although I would have loved to have been proven wrong.

So I traded in the JL and got a Taco with 0% for 36 months, whoohoo free loans.

Glad to have a community with all the knowledge and resources at hand.

Thanks for having me , looking forward to learning more and eventually becoming a helpful, contributing member.

I got 1500 off sticker instead of 3000 I believe. I may have saved money going the other route but the idea of no interest on a tacoma pretty much gave me a chubby.

Wouldn't 0% financing be the same as buying outright? Unless you only wanted to carry collision on your $40k truck?

I see a lot of new members mention the transmission, I feel like if it wasn't such a "prominent" issue here that people probably wouldn't find any issue at all. Anyway, congrats and welcome. Try to avoid the problem threads, they just make people paranoid.

Also bummer on the JL, I really want a 2 door but never hear anything positive.
