On another note, that the fuck is wrong with this place???
Finished work, wanted a beer, aimed for CK, went inside, no beer. Not allowed. Second, third, forth CK the same. Now I made a commitment to get a beer from CK. Fired the phone map, asked Google for CK around me and proceeded on my quest. The 7th CK finally sells beer!!! YES. Now I want to get a lotto (you know, to become a millionaire) and another kick in the balls...CASH ONLY! WAAAAAAAT?What's wrong with my debit card? Is not credit, you know, is MY money but instead of in my pocket is in the back. I want to throw them at you, support the state economy with voluntary taxation and you say NO! Well, fuck you then.
Also, why those people leave the state A/C on? I got out of the hotel in the morning around 8am and is 29F outside. By 4pm finally got up to 47F. Been a girly all day long...
One more day of work here and back home in paradise! Nice warm weather, all CKs sell beer, and wine, and liqueur, and take debit for everything.

Ah, Albuquerque. You're there for work only? First place I lived (Sandia HE) and where I'm looking to buy a PRO, to keep at one of my family vacation homes nearby. Sadly, finding the right TRD Pro in 6MT is a thankless job to keep it for use on trips to NM or in West Texas.

I used to have a useless '17 Frontier PRO-4X 6-Speed manual parked there, but hated it to death. Useless luddite hype machine, overstaying its lifecycle.

PRO will replace that, at least for Northern NM. Raptor is great, but I want at least a reliable stick-shift pickup stateside in addition to that and possible Gladiator purchase for West TX use. Anyway, hope the business trip went well.

 

What brings you to Abq? If you wanted beer, there’s a Marble Brewery a few blocks right down the street from where you took that picture.

 

I don’t think this guy gets around much... there are several states that only sell alcohol in very specific locations/stores, and NM is NOT one of them (you can get beer at almost any convenience store). Cash for lottery tickets is necessary, because even debit transactions cost the establishment a fee. Not a real big ABQ fan either, but it’s where the job landed me (somewhat stuck)... my biggest issue with the area is exposed dirt and high winds, too much of both.

 

Yep, work trip. Here for 2 days to check RF coverage for a major telecom company. I am a RF Eng and job takes me from TX to CA to CO to KS and all over AZ.
Today stuck at 2605 Wyoming Northeast, Albuquerque, NM 87112 for 6 -7 hours and after to drive home for 7 hours.
Still candies left!
P.S. I wanted a can of beer to have in the hotel room. Took a long time to get one but here is better than UT where even water is banned.
