20190125_085720.jpg Alignment was great. I gave firestone the numbers u wanted 0 toe, 0 camber, 2.5 caster and for once they were able to get that.

My biggest recommendation is buy some thinner fender washers than the ones provided to make installation simpler. I went to tractor supply and bought their 1.75 5/16 fender washers and drilled the hole bigger to fit the bolt.a lot thinner but it creates a barrier between the bushing and the metal.1548593980660311039110267335250.jpg

So far I have had them for 150 miles. So far they have been awesome. Did everything I wanted them to for half the price of the name brands. Truck drive so much better. Do not regret my choice at all. Would recommend to anyone that is on a budget.

Sorry been super busy at work! I got mine on the 17th, installed them on the 19th & aligned on the 22nd! Install was fine I used the supplied washers, I just pryed the arm open a little! Truck drives very good, sorry I haven't gotten a print out I dropped the truck off after hrs & picked it up after hrs! The one thing I will caution people about on these after market arms is the add a lot of caster, so if you are trying to run a big tire, I'm running 34x10.5x17, they will add to the clearance issue on the back side of the wheel well, possibly making the cab mount chop necessary! As for seating the boot I used a flat tip punch and just worked it around, was easy!

I agree with the amount of caster they give. Mine used to be maxed out at 1.5 degrees before and now they max out at 5.7 degrees.

I’ve had these for about a year and a half now, my biggest complaint is the dust boot. I’ve read people getting a pvc pipe that just barely fits over them and tapping them into place... didn’t work for me. I tore both boots, got replacements and took it to a shop who also tore them trying to instal them. I ended up taking measurements of the boots and went to energy suspension and found a set for like 5 bucks that were a very small amount larger. They fit right on, perfectly. No issues since. For the money, they’re great. Time will tell how well they hold up in the long run

Do you have the information on the boots you bought so I can get a replacement set for when I need them.

I don’t, I’ll see if I can find which ones I got. I remember they were for an older muscle car

I'm running 255/80r17 on 17x8.5 wheels with 4.5 backspace and noticed that my tires rub the cab mount now with the extra caster.

They’re ok. Dust boot covers are junk and don’t fit though. Otherwise they work good to get alignment back in spec

Just ordered a pair on sale +10% off = $278.32 before tax. Anything I should let my mechanic know during install other than the boot covers are crap?
I bought my first pair of Light Racing UCAs in Sept 2011 for $450. A bushing failed, so had to replace one for $343 for the part May 2016. Having to replace another (Nov. 2019) for I'm assuming the same price. To date, 22 reviews average 4.7 of 5 stars at SuspensionConnection... worth a try.

Just make sure your mechanic knows to grease the upper bushings before tightening the bolt and in the future when you grease them you need to break the bolt loose

I had no problems with the dust cover

I measured the base of the joint itself where the boot is supposed to seat and went to energy suspension I think and found one that best fit

Turns out my rear u-joint was causing the vibrations I was having, so the Tuff Country control arms were an unnecessary purchase. HOWEVER, my mechanic installed them anyway, he wasn't happy with them, so much so that he did not feel comfortable giving my Tacoma back with the Toe so far in (see picture). He said the Light Racing UCAs I had on were much better due to the adjustable ball joint. He's an "OEM is best" type of guy, even though Tacoma OEM are non-adjustable like the Tuff Country arms. I'm not a big fan of telling a mechanic how something ought to work so I didn't push the issue. Anyway, he'll replace the LR UCA bushing that failed (I installed in 2011). The other side was replaced in 2016, so assuming it has the newer style bushing I've recently read about (Spec Ride?). Hopefully this isn't the 2016 LR UCA I replaced 3 years ago. The other side has nice, fat bushings in good shape.
