Unfortunately what happens often with these things is there is a plastic nub at the end of the cable at the hood latch (front of hood) that anchors the cable to the latch mount. this plastic nub stops the cable sleeve from moving when you pull the hood release latch from inside the cab. Why they put plastic in there I do not know, but after many years the plastic degrades and breaks rendering the cable release ineffectual. If this is the case, the only solution is to replace the entire cable. PITA, had to do this on my 4Runner last summer. At least it was summer. Good luck!

 

The lever under the dash may be broken. Common problem with Hondas of certain years, but could happen with any vehicle, since the lever is plastic.

It took me a couple years to find a set. I did have 8 of those rims. Kijji is the best bet or a wrecking yard. Good luck

 

Took my truck in for my po420 code and they quoted me $1600 worst case scenario, and $500 if it’s best case. My AFR sensor has taken a dookie and my exhaust system is a tweaker-fab special right now he said. Looks like I’m putting it on the back burner haha.

 

check out some online spots for sensors. Would it be easier to go with aftermarket exhaust components? $1600 I am sure you could do headers back?

 

Yeah I will most likely redo the whole thing with aftermarket, just don’t have the time or money to do it now. I’m gonna keep it in mind and research it a bit.

 

So I'm driving down the street behind a grey f250 and it has this sick cap on it. Pin code access, all fiberglass, led built into the doors... Like... Fuckin nice. Me being me I decide to pull up next to them and express my adoration for this piece of engineering. Pull up... Roll down window and notice the silhouette of 2 semi auto rifles on a rack in the rear, looked like AR shrouds but I could be wrong. A marine looking motherfucker driving rolls down the window and stares at me inquisitively. I paused for a moment to try to read the badge on his uniform but there wasn't one to read. I stated my "nice cap" remark smiled politely and went on my way before they think wrong of my intentions and shoot me. As they drove away I laughed letting my imagination run with the feeling these guys have no fingerprints.
