So here's the deal. I BADLY need new tires but I also wanna get a lift for my truck, at some point. I recently paid off the TACO, so some of those funds are headed towards a savings account, a mod account, and for a lift.

Could I go bigger than my current 265/75/r16 and get away with it for a few months, until I can get a lift?

I mean, I know if turn as sharp as possible for a u-turn I might rub a little bit, and if I load er up or do some wheeling, it might rub too, but how bad is the rub... Will it effect daily driving around the city and on the freeway, or no?

Realistically, what can I get away with temporarily until I add a little 2-3 inch lift?

LOL. It's usually the case with those of us on limited budgets that for some time things gets out of whack (for me it has usually been lift with comical looking small tires).

What size tire are you considering eventually? Technically if a tire won't fit stock then it won't fit with a lift unless you change the geometry or travel, e.g. bracket lift or lowered bump stops. If all you do is pavement you might get away with tires that won't fit stock using just a lift but off road you'll eventually hit the limit of clearance. It's probably easier to go with larger tires first anyway so it's easier to find the interferences.
