    Tell me if it's impossible.
I just bought a 2016 TRD Sport DC LB 4x4 and I love it. I want to make lots of customizations to it but I want to keep things looking as stealth and "factory" as possible. There are some really cool integrated electronics including parking sensors, like the ones that come in the Limited Package, I think. There are some aftermarket ones that look pretty good, but I want it to have the factory look as much as possible. So, can I install the bumper from a Limited on my TRD Sport and just hook the sensors and wiring up so they work?

Parking sensors aren't like fog lights, they require specific harness's, multiple parking sensors and a specific ECU to control the communication to the combination meter, the meter also has to be programmed to accept parking sensors.

I never liked parking sensors when I have a backup camera. I just back in everywhere and can see everything with my mirrors and camera.

Aftermarket parking sensor systems exist but they are terrible and only for those accident prone. Plus aftermarket sensors typically aren't painted and don't blend in well.

For sure, I don't expect it to be easy, but I'm just interested to see what kind of mods are possible and how involved they are. The parking sensor I guess was more of an example, I also think it would be neat to have the Blind Spot Monitor. It's probably silly and there's obviously better things to focus on, just wondering.

Trying to add that stuff would probably end up costing you more than trading for a Tacoma that already has it.
