Do I Need New Tires?? Yup!

Hey guys. I saw a thread here a few weeks back talking about how long tires lasted..

My Nitto Terra Graps made it nearly 5 years, but I'm thinking they seriously need to be replaced.. thoughts? Maybe another rotation. So worn outout the front insides though. Almost bald. Also, Vegas heat makes em crack bad

Got them in May, 2014. Put over 50k miles on them..

 

Yeah man, time to get new tires. Those aren't worth keeping and can be dangerous.

 

Yeah. Potentially have a blowout. The hot Vegas days are over.... but I doubt the cold is any better

 

Umm...yeah lol. Those are at the point they're a hazard IMO... past due for retirement. 50k is good for an aggressive all terrain tire.

 

Well, the rear tires look better. They're super cracked, also, but not worn as bad.

 

I'm another vote for replace. Those do not look safe unfortunately. The price may hurt, but you'll thank yourself later for replacing them before its too late.

Looks like you might need an alignment also.

 

Yeah, maybe. I haven't rotated the tires in about 7 months or more.. the inside has tread left, but the sides are pretty bare. Drives pretty straight tho.

 

You can still drive straight with a positive/negative camber, but your tires and some driveability will be effected.

 

Yeah I remember people mentioning camber with the slightly larger tire.. but can it go that whack without a lift?

 

Anything can go whack any time. Its usually most common after a lift and/or different tire size.

 

Yeah.. now they're making funny noises. Guess I'll get some new tires this weekend. Or tomorrow. Lol.

 

I would. Insurance can deny a claim based on negligence of changing out your tires. I've heard of them measuring the tread depth after an accident but not sure how common that is. Better not to risk it.
