I did a pool one time in college, and drove to a Gator football game. It did pick up a few girls, so it was worth it. All I used was a tarp. Didn't even have to tape the sides. The water held it down. It squatted the hell out of my F250. I wouldn't do it in a Tacoma. It is a lot of water and the truck doesn't have the brakes or the leafs to handle it.

Never did a pool. But in my old 86 toyota truck. Pre tacoma days. We filled the bed half way with sand. Added an inflatable palm tree, a couple of lawn chairs, a plastic flamingo, and a cooler full of beer. Beach party tailgate at a November LSU football game. Good old days.

The water itself isn't going to hurt the truck. But the other guys are right about theweight of the water. 2000 pounds of rock ruined the suspension on my sport trac.

There is a reason all of my aquariums are in my basement on solid concrete foundation.... 55 gallon fish tank sits are 650+ lbs. You could fit about 4 55 gallon tanks in the back of a long bed.
