I like the DMM's looking at doing it. Suggestions? Expedition Essentials? Any others?

Found a decent Toyota owners manual cover case on eBay and it’s a upgrade from the original one. Fits perfect in my McGyvered OEM Glove Box Shelf. Also switched out my green non backlit Homelink Rearview mirror for a Blue Backlit one.

Replaced the 24F battery clamp with an oem 27F clamp I got off Amazon. Also had to replace the j bolts since the one closest to the cabin is welded on stock clamp. Cut one of the new j bolts down a bit. Left about 1 1/2” of thread otherwise it would’ve gone through my hood. @Casita2010

Installed some RokBlokz, XL in size on my truck. Worked even with a CMC and 285/70/17 tires. No rubbing!!! Thanks @moe2o4, I ended up not needing any other brackets. I just straightened the 70 degree L brackets they provided to a 90 degree and installed the brackets in reverse orientation. I'll plasti dip all the chrome hardware.

Great mod as the hood is pretty heavy. Do you know if the struts are “sized” to avoid the hood bending at the mount point? Or maybe the hood is strong enough? I had a vehicle in the past with a long hood that had a tendency to bend over time where the struts mounted to the hood.

It's new......mods starting soon. Removed step bars so far. lol
I admittedly was just thinking this. Maybe not stupid and pointless but having owned one of every gen Taco including a third gen now and heavy wheeling in the past I've never damaged one of these sensors. I guess if you are in the woods alot with heavy stick coverage it may come in handy possibly but I agree the cv guard would be much more welcome

Removed the stock power socket/outlet and replaced it with a dual USB charger

    IMG_7274.jpg
    IMG_7279.jpg

NOTE: This is not truly Plug and Play.

It wasn't terribly difficult to remove the old socket. Inside of the metal cylinder, there are two holes with tabs; I used a couple of picks to press in the tabs and pull out the cylinder. Once the metal cylinder is out, the plastic surround pops right out as well. Then unplug the wires.

Installing the new charger is a bit more difficult. The replacement USB charger is slightly larger than the hole left behind, so you'll have to Dremel/file just a bit to get it to fit in. Then you'll have to remove the upper trim surround around the stereo and remove the stereo to get at the back of the USB charger to put the locking ring on and wire it up.

As far as wiring goes, you can use the same wires that went to the "cigarette lighter" socket, and either cut the plastic plug off and wire in the connectors that come with the charger, or remove the plastic casing on the stock plug and use the metal connectors within, just be sure to heat shrink/tape the connectors.

Mobtown Offroad, 20 degrees, with kickouts. Have some Harbour Freight rubber pads epoxied on for grip.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
