Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
LMT makes good stuff. Check out Larue Tactical too.

For mid range Aero precison, midwest industris and Ballistic Advantage for barrels.

I put a 300blk pistol together a year ago. Good blaster, just needs a can.

I will. Unless Larue is on par with PSA in pricing though, either my sperm donor is going to have to cough up the $2k for the LMT CQB and the $1600 for the Benelli M3 if his spouse wants that cabinet bad enough, or I will probably get a PSA as it fits my tiny little budget better. Then I'll have to get lucky and find a used M3 somewhere willing to trade me for my Browning Citori O/U trap and field 12 with maybe a few bucks from me to even it out to get my M3. That Browning is a deadly sumbeeotch though. Not many doves got by me if they came in range. It just kinda makes a crappy tactical scatter gun. Then I still have to buy the Leopold Delta Point reflex sights for them.

Ryan is correct. No tax stamp required for pistols. It's a one time $200 tax for an SBR, but wrangling the paperwork together (I used a trust) can get pricey. I SBR'd an AK Draco pistol back in 2008 or so, and I regret doing so. Don't get me wrong, I love the gun and it was pretty much worthless in pistol form, but having to submit paperwork just to transport it across state lines is ridiculous.

Here is my Draco and a 7.5" AR Pistol:

When I ordered the PSA pistol kit, I went with the "Classic" style with the A2 FSB. After looking at some reference pictures, I decided I'm gong to model the pistol build after the M4 CQBR (the original SBR'd M4 SOPMOD):

    Larue is top end.

PSA is great for cheap blasters. Pick up a lower locally and order the rest from them.

I have some tools for assembly. If you want to make sure everything is put together and torqued correctly.

As far as the Citori, we could have a skeet or 5 stand meet at Silver dollar. I've been meaning to get my 1187 out of the safe and break some clays for a while.

Never really cared for the way they did things there. Only one round at a time? Awe come on! If the first round missed, it was just a ranging shot! Course, nothing saying I can't show up with the benelli. :D

In the interest of consolidation due to lack of heirs, I'm also going to see if Shooter's World up the street will even trade me my 96G with four mags, nearly depleted trijicon night sights, and I'll throw my 8040 Cougar in to sweeten the pot for a new short barrel PX4 type G .40 S&W with four spare 10 round mags and maybe a good accessory rail light. Then I'll just have the three hand guns, the Px4, the .38spl Detectives Special, and my Ruger Slabside Govt Comp MII target 22. That'll leave me with one tactical shotgun, one CQB rifle, and a tack driving match rifle that shoots small five shot one hole groups at 100yrds. If I had it chamber reamed to 260 Remington, it'd probably be a tack driver at 600m or more.

Ive always loaded 2 for skeet and 5 stand. Must have been a trap thing. I show up with an all black police edition 1187 that I slap a longer barrel on too.

Anyways if anyone is interested I've been wanting to go, especially with the nicer weather. I'm open to sporting clays too.

I think it was more an age thing. I was only 20 or 21 with two kids several years younger than me. I did honestly think that was SOP there back then. I know Wyoming Antelope Club only lets you load one round at a time unless you shoot on there military rifle team and then your free to dump as much hot brass down the back of someone shirt as you can fire down range. o_O

I don't think we've had a range day. But, I'm hesitant to put one together. Maybe a small select group before it gets hot again.

The Hernando sportsman club is pretty good. you have to drive down a dirt road in the woods to get there too, even though my Honda can make it out there.

Well if I get some new hardware by that time, I'll probably be itching to try it out. One thing I do need to work on though would probably only happen at an indoor range. I'm a pretty good shot with my pistols, but a friend let me try his HK USP with an accessory light with the range lights off, and it did all kinds of weird shit to my aim. That'd be something I definitely need to work on if I get that Px4.

Still have two slots left for the Annual Citrus Meet.

    ---

Well, the next time I say a job will be simple, someone needs to slap my mouth and tell me to shut the hell up. Did the rear lift on the T4R today and I have to say those are the stupidest upper shock mounts I've ever seen on a 4WD. Not only are they a pain in the ass to get to, they are like buckets made for holding mud and crap. Natty is a pavement princess and they were full of sand.

And then sure, just disconnect the shocks and the sway bar and the axle should just drop and the spring should just fall right out...I mean that's what happens when your shocks don't limit your droop off road. Nope. I had to bounce the axle a bit to pop the stock springs out. The lift springs though, there was no way. I ended up using ratchet straps to compress them and a bottle jack on one side to get the beeotches in there. Only thing that didn't fight me for some reason was the brake lines. The rear lift is done though, sans tires, since I was planning on rotating them.

I was considering taking the 5100s/Eibachs off the OGT and putting the OME coilovers back on it, and putting the 5100s on the T4R, but I'm not sure I want to do that since I feel like they ride like shit, but then I was thinking it might be my tires so I may put the T4R tires on the front of the OGT and give it a spin to see how it acts with road tires. If all the vibration and goofy shit goes away, I might just let them ride and put the OME coilovers on the T4R.

Oh, and I'm planning on doing a write-up on proper CB antenna installation. Not putting it on the roof this time, although, the roof on the T4R would be an awesome ground plane, but I'm gonna put a 5' Firestik FSII on it for the awesome SWRs, since I'll be using my substandard Cobra 25 for a while. I'm gonna try using an external speaker on it to see if that clears up the received audio, but I might eventually upgrade it to a Uniden 68 (basically the same radio as the Cobra 25) or a Uniden Bearcat 880. The two people I know that had the Bearcat, had it fail in a short period of time, but it's just so sexy.

Ya, I'm aware. Still, I was thinking if it breaks, I'll just send it back and get a 68. Cobra doesn't seem to be making CBs anymore...either that or their plant got knocked out in the fires or hurricanes at some point.

Soooo...if a 4Runner is wearing a set of 33x12.50-15 LTBs on her back side, and an OGT is wearing a wimpy set of 265/75R16s on her front side and my all my picture taking devices are dead...did it really happen?

Pretty much all the vibrations and weird shit going on up front is the tires. The 5100/Eibachs still unload too damn hard though. Think I'm gonna switch them back.

Well...the lift is basically complete. Need to drop the skid plate tomorrow and install the diff drop, and it badly needs an alignment, but the most peculiar thing is, my Nittos which fit just fine before the lift now have zero clearance on the UCA. I mean the tire rolls, but if it deflected at all like going around a corner it'd be rubbing and I can't see that improving with an alignment when they set the eccentrics for full outboard on the LCAs. Consequently, I guess I'm now in the market for some 1.25" Spider Tracs (which I'm not happy about as it's just one more thing you gotta take off when you need to do something).

Also peculiar is that it seems the T4R sits higher than the OGT now even though the OGT is on taller tires.

BTW, if you guys are thinking this sure took me a long time, that's because I completely flushed the brake lines, ran a reservoir full of cheap brake fluid through each line, then ran the whole system dry...mostly...there were some parts of the reservoir that refused to drain, probably so the pump doesn't lose it's prime, but I ran all the lines dry, then put good brake fluid in it and pressure bled each corner while doing the lift...which also entailed taking the 5100s off the OGT and putting the OMEs back in, then putting the 5100s on the T4R. So yeah, it took me a long time.

Edit: I'm also taking both sway bars off so she's probably gonna wallow like a drunken sailor. We'll see though.

I'm drinking one more soda for hydration purposes, then I'm taking a shower follow by drinking a beer or four.
