I want to get F5s on my 2nd gen and am struggling with backspacing. Im going to go with the 16X8 wheel, but cant decide between 3.5 inch backspace or 4.5.

I want the stance to be aggressive, wide, whatever, but not obnoxiously so. Ive looked at all the F5 threads and the infinite tire size variances and wheel sizes make it hard to get a clear idea of the difference between 3.5 and 4.5

Planning on 265/75/16 or close to it, an AT tread pattern, and I am hoping the wider stance will look good on the DCLB. Future suspension plans are Bilstein 5100s and Icon add a leaf in back.

Thank you for your opinions and advice!

I am a big fan of the 3.5 BS. I think the 4.5's look good, but the 3.5's are just.. THAT much more cooler. IMHO. Even if you need to do a bit of trimming, I think it is worth it. IMG_20171125_214227.jpg IMG_20181112_165408.jpg

I will also recommend the 3.5” BS!

My top pic tire size is 285/75/16, the bottom is 315/75/16.
