hi folks, just picked up a nice basically brand new OEM tri fold tonneau, and after installing it, can see a gap at the front of the bed. The nice guy that sold it to me showed me the part on his truck, but his were covered in foam tape and silicon to seal his new snug top lid, so we couldn’t remove and trade those out. It’s the square rubber end cap that goes into the front rail to seal that hole off.
Any members here able to help out a brotha?
    Many thanks in advance

They can be had for like $50 shipped via online dealers.

I'd like to know how to get the damn things out. Previous owner had a topper on the truck, which I quickly removed. Like you, I've got that foam between the side bed rails and front bed rail.

I can't pull all the foam unless I remove the front bed rail, which seems to be held on by 4 or 5 T-30 torx bolts. They act like they've got a generous amount of thread locker on them, because I can't get them to budge. Anyone else with this issue? Maybe another way to remove the caps?

I think these parts are a complex shape designed to fill the gap and function as a skirt(?) Requires cutting the plastic rail caps. Members in another thread reported mixed success with these.
I'm new and don't know how to find/link the other thread. It is in the topper/tonneau forums.

Yes, the bed rails have to be trimmed slightly to accommodate them. They rails have to be trimmed anyway to accommodate the OEM cover hardware, so it’s not a huge deal. Just some minor dremel work, and a file or some sandpaper.

As for their effectiveness, they seem to prevent rain water from getting into the bed.

I’ve never taken them out, but I installed them. While they’re a tight fit, they just plug in with some effort and ingenuity.

Thanks so much fellas!!!! I love this community, way more helpful than any stealership or parts Dept.
As for what to do with removing them, it seems they just pull right out. The nice guy that sold me my tonneau had his in the bed, but when he had a snug lid installed they pushed silicone and foam tape to fill the gap even better so we decided to leave them and I’d just order replacements.
Installing them would require removing the front rail to expose the end caps which are just plugs.
As a side note, cutting the bed rails was a little scary but in the end was easily down with a saw and dremel. Measure 3x and cut once!
