    Got my cylinder installed today. I had to buy from Dalton Hydraulic. Surplus Center just didn't have any cylinders that retracted far enough.

    Here's what I bought

    Getting the lines out of the old cylinder was tough. Made me realize I need bigger wrenches. I had to use a pipe wrench. It will be nice to not have transmission fluid all over the driveway. Got it all buttoned up, topped off the fluid and took it for a spin operating the lift and chute rotation and then checked the fluid level again.

    I also mounted it with the rod on the bottom because I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be.

    Well worth twice the cost of the seal kit. $134. shipped.

    I spent Saturday fixing a JD 345 garden tractor that hadn’t ran in 10 years. Just took some cleaning and a $30 delay shutdown module, and 2 cans of Seafoam.

    That's gratifying as hell!

    My next task is to take the spare wiring harness that came with my Auxbeam lightbar and use it to replace the jury rigged setup I had for the roof mounted ditch lights. It has it's own switch, fuse and relay so all I need to do is connect the light wiring and then connect it to the battery. I may replace the switch with a toggle type.

    A lot of times I'm blowing snow late at night or before daylight in the morning.

    I'm hoping doing all this scares off any chances of deep snow for the rest of the season.

    I still want to post up a video of the tractor/blower operating.
