Good morning TTC! Just a heads up, I heard that best of the west rifle range is closed down. I believe the other ranges are still open. There is a lot of home development going on out there and it's an issue with rounds getting outside of the range.

 

This sucks if true.. I liked being able to rent the entire bay for me or a small group.

I have some friends that live out there pretty close and they have actually had rounds come through their house on more than one occasion. I also know the owners of Best of the West and they are pretty cool people. Just a sucky situation all the way around. If I had my guess I think they will probably sell out to a devolve at some point soon... They call it progress

If you have BMW do the maintenance then yes it can be expensive.l bust most manufacturer maintained vehicles have a higher cost of maintenance than ones you service yourself. I've actually looked into buying another BMW lately and the ones with the inline 6 seem to be holding value more than the newer ones. I think a large part of the drop in value/popularity has been that they moved to a turbo 4cyl from the 6 and also have started moving to FWD from what I understand. Nobody wants that combo when they buy a "luxury" car and I think to their fans it seems a step in the economy direction and sets them less apart from everyone in something like a nice Hyundai/Toyota/Kia etc. A lot of people buy for names and the perceived "status" it gives them.

At the end of the day Toyota stands for making money like any manufacturer and this gave them a good platform to remake an iconic Toyota that has the potential to make them a ton of cash.

Would it have been how I would have done it? No. But we also have to realize that living in the past and expecting the same motor in a new body isn't really progress and a stagnant company is one with a very limited lifespan.

 

What the fuck. LC is dumb AF.

 

Several good points, but I just can't accept a BMW Toyota. A Subaru Toyota, sure. A GM Toyota, meh. But a BMW Toyota is a no go for me.
