So, I was modding like any good modder does and had my anytime camera almost finished, but then it wasn't working.

I was actually modding the mod. It has been working flawlessly for a couple of months, but I'm adding an additional camera to the system with another switch and relay. All was well and then noticed that the system wasn't getting power. Checked all parts and noticed that there wasn't power on pin#1 on the back of the radio like there was supposed to be.

I was messing around in the back of the radio and the left cubby area. The anytime camera mod taps into one of the pins from the rear of the radio and I have my switches on the left cubby.

I assumed that I tripped a radio fuse, so I started testing the fuses under the hood and might have tripped more than one in doing so. Maybe a bus? The radio fuses were fine, but then while driving I noticed I had bigger issues.

Here is what I know isn't working atm...
    A/C and A/C Panel
    Heated seats
    Windows
TPMS (Can't get to TPMS screen and have the error light showing on console.)
Air bags (Red light with image of airbags showing. Not wanting to test them atm...lol)

I'm unsure if my A/C is working. Yesterday morning, it was spewing ridiculously hot air at me and then yesterday afternoon is was barely noticeable. I assume that is because it was cold out in the morning and warmed up by evening...so the A/C and heater are functioning, but not adjustable since the panel/console is down.

Any thoughts and assistance are appreciated.

So, i just got in the truck after work. On a hunch, i tried the windows and the sunroof... both worked. My A/C and heater are still unpowered.

However, 5 minutes into the trip, i tried the windows again.... nothing. Same with sunroof.

Guessing I have a short. Maybe a bad ground. Interestingly, all these devices look like they might be on the same side of the fuse panel under the dash.

Look at the left side of this fuse panel. Airbag, seat heaters, sunroof, and I'd assume the panel is my panel lights and controls for the A/C. Who knows. I'll focus on that area when i wake in the afternoon.

Just how were you testing the fuses ?

    Voltage across the pins ??

Removing each one and ringing it out?

What makes you think you caused something else to open?

I did a resistance check with the fuses still in place.

I've still got power at the fuses under the dash, which is odd. It is like something is disconnected behind the A/C panel or dash.

I checked all the connections near the lower driver's foot panel near the door. They all seem tight and i really didn't mess with them.

I'm wondering if something happened when i fished the wire for the radio area to the dash fuse panel.

Suffice to say, I'm stupefied here. Just got another piece of info that is super odd.

All except Airbag error light are fixed...when it's in reverse only.

I've got the anytime reverse camera mod. I'll uninstall all connections related to that including the camera. Maybe a short in there somewhere or a bad connection on my part.

No. Initially thought they were, but all check out. So I figured it was a short or faulty ground.

There is power up to the fuses under the dash, but like I said above, most of my issues aren't working until in Reverse.

I'll look at this more on Friday. I'll break apart my dash if I have to. Not my first time. I'll try uninstalling my last mods, which is a modification to my Anytime Camera Mod.

I was adding a secondary rear camera for when the tailgate is down and I'm hauling stuff. The camera would override the reverse camera. I tested this setup and it worked, so I preceded to run the wire to the rear of the truck, install a switch on the bottom of the B-pillar, and grab power from an existing switch when I wish to view the camera. It worked, then it didn't. I lost power to the original Anytime backupo Camera switch. I thought I initially damaged the wire from the radio to the switch, but then noticed there was no power coming from the radio's pin. Frustrated, I called it a day. When I jumped back in the truck to drive, I noticed all the other issues and lose of power, so I figured I blew a fuse. And here I am.

Feel free to ask more questions. I know things, but I obviously screwed something up and hoping I can fix it without having to head to the dealer or a mechanic. It's proabbly something stupid and I don't want the hassle of talking to them.

I have not figured this out yet. Working a stretch of nights. I'll be able to take apart my truck this weekend and I WILL FIND IT. Any help or guesses are appreciated. I'll definitely report my findings here. Maybe the next person can learn from my mistake or situation.

You were right. That is the fuse. Apparently, my anytime camera mod was back feeding power and thus giving me the illusion of it working sometimes. Replacing that fuse and all is well...kinda (read next post).

    Thanks man.

    And all fixed...

I shorted a wire that ran to my switch. It got caught in the bolt for the driver side seat belt. Buggered it good, but due to the way this whole thing presented, I didn't realize. Thanks to all for the help.

I ended up going through 5 or 6 fuses once I got the right fuse that was tripping (thanks @Kabogski ). I slowly disconnected my anytime camera mod and realized that it only happened when my switch was in line. That left 2 possible wires to deal with. Glad I didn't give up. I'd hate to go to the dealer and have them look at my work and disapprove. In the end, the mod will be well worth it.

I'm trying to have an anytime rear camera, anytime front camera, and anytime secondary rear camera that will be mounted in the bed to monitor any load in the back of the bed or when the tailgate is down.

Here's the short and switch location...
