We’re you able to get the TT3DS shims installed without modification to the Dakar springs?

I haven't got them yet. I ordered them the other day. They should be here Monday. But I wont be able to install them until I get back from vacation. I'll let you know once I do get them installed. But it'll be a couple weeks.

I bought my 2012 with a 3 inch level kit and it vibrated like an adult pleasuring toy.

Took it off and installed Fox's and the taco drives like a dream :burnrubber:

While my girl might actually enjoy that I’d like to resolve issue with the kit installed. I found I have a 1.5 degree difference between the rear pinion input shaft and the transfer case output. Not sure if this is enough to cause the vibration. It’s really not that bad but being a new truck I feel like it should be damn near perfect. First new vehicle I’ve ever had.

I had some time today to install these shims. They installed just like I figured. Remove the old bolt, install the new bolt through the shim, keeping the circle grove on bottom and the wide point of the shim to the back of the truck. You may have to cut the top of the bolt off to install the bumper over it. I didn't have to because I installed an u-bolt flip kit and new aftermarket bumpers. I don't know why on Toytec web site it says requires drilling. I have the new style, Part # EL096R. Maybe the old ones use a smaller bolt? I don't know.

I do have a concern though. Because the shims rotate the axle back, it drops the welded eye for the shock in the back downwards and the one on the front of the axle upwards. I had to jack the axle up and force my rear shock into it's place. It is in there tight and I hope it does not fail prematurely.

Did it fix it? .....Yes and no. It helped a lot, but it's not gone, but I can live with it. Under normal acceleration it's not noticeable, but heavy acceleration or starting up hill you still feel it from 0-20 MPH.

Update: I still had vibration that I was not happy living with. So I did the front needle bearing swap and it took care of just about every vibration that I was getting. It eliminated more vibration then the axle shims did. I thought the vibration that I was feeling was driveline vibration, but it turned out it was from that bearing. Grab your driver side axle up by the diff and move it around. I bet this is the OP's problem.

I just did the Rough Country 2.5 leveling kit. Great ride -- and great look BUT....(and if your not doing work yourself) -- get ready for 300 to install and you will probably need the center bearing lowering kit 25 bucks or so AND you will probably need the needle-bearing replacement 250 with the install tool and new gasket (250 - 300 or more to install) on the drivers side because the truck will make a hum...AND did I mention the 125 wheel alignment SO yeah you have to be willing to pay much more (over a grand all-in) for the look you want then just the price of the new struts. They don't tell you all this -- they just sell you the kit; but hey, it is what it is. THE new bearing WILL eliminate the noise!
