    This.

Although my first drivers side moog LCA only lasted 12 months, ball joint went.

I also did not need to cut my bolts, they just needed to be heated and they popped out. It does melt the LCA bushings but that doesnt matter since your replacing the entire arm.

you sure they are seized? I thought mine were but heavy use of penetrating fluid and a little finesse of a torch I got them to give when I did my lift, alignment is nicely in spec too. But if your really set on replacing them then cut away.

I have a set of Brand New OEM LCA's with OEM Alignment Cams and Whiteline Bushings installed for Spring. Once I pull the ones off my truck with about 58,000 miles I will install Whiteline Bushings in those as well and keep them as a throw down set.

Pretty sure. Only one is stuck. Sprayed it with ATF/Acetone for weeks, hit it with an impact and broke off the cam section, hit it with a sledge and mallet, broke and bent a harbor freight ball joint press, torched it until it smoked and repeated the above many times. By this point, I would question the condition of the bushing.

The Moog and AC Delco greasable cam bolts are top quality. The cams bolts and washers do not go "flat" they become rounded when alignment techs use power tools on them and spin them around. Rounding them out is preferable to flattening the cam alignment tabs which are welded to the frame, which also happens with poor mechanics.

I bought the Moogs and on my third alignment they told me my 6 month old alignment cams didn't work. They didn't tell me the washers were rounded out, which the previous tech had done on the 2nd Firestone alignment. They also wouldn't hold the alignment as the tech had destroyed them.

The problem isn't the cams, it's the techs. These are very good all metal cams and sleeves which are greasable. You want them to be the weak component so that the alignment tabs of the frame won't be flattened.

BTW, I have Moog LCAs as well. They're not greasable. There are some really nice Moog ball joints available with internal boots and zerk fittings. They're only available by themselves without the LCAs. I'd recommend these over the whole LCA as the ball joints are better.

Did try these guys, good selection but the arm was of unknown mileage. Not sure I want to take a chance on a worn out part. My truck has 75k now so to me a used arm has to have 100k or less. That might be a hard find.

Used is a bit of a risk. Most are high mileage and I have even seen them for sale with the cam bolt frozen in the arm. I will look for a bit more, if no luck I will probably just go with two moog lca. Not the best but at least the performance will be new and the same left to right.

Rebuilt an OEM set that I got from a friend, then passed them along to another member so he could do the same. Could probably work through the entire membership by 2120.

oh yeah.....put in MOOG BJs and Whiteline bushings.
new alignment cam tabs and alignment bolts, as well.

Well, as I said, mine came in with great looking ball joint and the factory cam bolts are great. They had a number of low mileage trucks and I asked if the LCA's could be taken from them. I don't know if they did that but these look fairly nice. As I might have mentioned, i will be getting new ones from Toyota with the frame. Won't need these.

What diablo blade are you guys using? I'm about to swap LCAs ans have seen several options i.e. 6in, 8in and also 8tpi and 10tpi.

Sucks that those Moog LCA ball joints aren't the greasable one. I bought the ball joints separate, and was just going to buy Moog LCAs, but maybe I'm just going to do the ball joints themselves.

Bought a used yard control arm from the southwest. Better shape than my original arm with 75k.

Install was ultra easy. Used new Toyota cam. Cut out the old one.

Oh yeah and this diablo blade rips. Went through the cam bushing in about 12 seconds!

My plan is to go with Mevotech Supreme LCAs. If the install goes smooth (I have the Diablo carbide blade and a very good recip saw), then I'm going to rebuild my OEM arms at my leisure with the Whiteline bushings, then reinstall later on. If its a PITA or slow install, then my OEMs are going up here as well as the unused Whitelines. If it goes well, a lightly used set of Mevotechs will pop up here instead.

I'm also planning on getting the Tenhulzan alignment plates for accurate measurements and so that the alignment can be a one person job.
