Of course, just after I grabbed a brand new 2018 off the lot for a truck to last me the next 3-4 years, this is announced. Ugh. Wifes gonna kill me if I get ANOTHER new vehicle. This would be 6 years in a row. Maybe they'll sell a kit to adapt our trucks?

You would buy a new truck just for an electric seat?

I'm a travel welder. Yes, yes I would. Just for the comfort of 1,000mile trips and longer.

    What's the old saying?

If "ifs" and "butts" were candies and nuts, it'd be Christmas all year 'round.

To each their own I suppose. The only time I have to move mine is when I get it back from service. So, twice a year for the most part.

Small chance you'll be able to buy the OEM parts for it. If they change the seat for it, you're probably SOL on kitting it.

Being a welder, if I can get an electrician to assist me, I'll make it work. Will have to see when it comes out what prices would be to adapt a seat vs trading for new one.

I like the manual seats. I don't have anyone else driving my truck and my pax seat is usually all the way aft. But, I can see the" want" from someone.

    I want crank windows though!

Big deal to me. I'd love to lower the seat to have more head room.
Maybe the new seat frame/mechanism will fit the older trucks?

What I'm hoping. With the sunroof, my head is literally 1/2" from the roofline, and the seat doesn't support under your knees correctly w/the angle. Hell, even if they just gave me the old manual knob adjustment for seat adjustment I'd be happy as hell. The fact there's none at all is what gets me.

The new seat will only go front and back and have backrest adjustments. same as current but power.

That’s what I’m thinking. There’s only so much room between the headliner and the floor... I already feel like the seat is low... any lower and I’d be sitting on the floor. I also have a sunroof and I’m like 1/4-1/2” from the roof... not much “up” room...

But maybe the seat bottom will be thinner and there will be more room?
