Hey everyone, I will be picking up a new Aliner titanium 12 camper on the 10th. In anticipation i bought a scangauge 2 to monitor my trans temps and make sure they stay within range. However I have entered the following 3 codes and need help knowing which one is what.

    Code 1

    07e021d9 txd
    032180000000 rxf
    2810 rxd
    00070065fe70 mth

    Code 2

    07e021d9 txd
    032180000000 rxf
    2810 rxd
    00070064fe70 mth

    Code 3

    07e021d9 txd
    032100000000 rxf
    1808 rxd
    00090005ffd8 mth

Codes 1/2 are about 15-20 degrees higher than code 3 at times with about 2-3 degrees separating them. They fluctuate very fast with speed, while code 3 seems very stable increase with speed as the truck gets warm etc.

Which one do I need to pay most attention to?

    Thank you guys so much!

On an Ultragauge the 1808 code is for the transmission pan temp and mirrors what you said, cooler and less fluctuations when compared to the torque converter temps.

Thank you! Although on a different device, thats what makes the most sense to me. I'm just going to run all three codes at the same time and watch all of them.

not sure why you have 3 temps, I have 2 where one is at the pan and the other is at the converter --- with the converter one being higher and more sensitive to changes

I think the codes are different for 10’ and above. OP has a 09’.

These are for 10’ and above ..

Got it, to be honest I'm not sure why I have three temps either. I just started putting in the codes to see if I could get two to show up on my 09. This confirms what I have been thinking. Thank you.

So no one has really answered OP's question about which one to pay attention to. I have always been under the impression that one should pay most attention to the "Pan" temp and not the "Torque Converter" temp. I know that on the beach, my pan temp will stay well below 190 degrees, but my TT temp can get up to 208 degrees.

I've been under the same assumption as well. Don't know if I'm right or wrong but I know my torque converter temps have seen over 200 a few times since I got my scangauge. Pan temp has never gotten that high

I keep both displayed. My opinion is that pan temp is more important because it is the steady state temperature the fluid is maintaining which has the most direct impact on fluid longevity and transmission health. The torque converter temp is nice to see when towing to adjust gears for the best balance between towing comfort and transmission temperature increases.

Note about monitoring transmission temps. Ultimately, which ever temp is the highest should get your most attention. Is that a fair conclusion ?
