I REALLLLLY DONT WANT TO END UP LOOKING LIKE THE 1st PIC AT THE BOTTOM!:help:
(The 2nd pic is the wheels I have now)

We are going to be lifting my 2018 trd taco Offroad double cab long bed by 6”.

My hubby says the stock wheels(rims) are too small if we lift it.

I was thinking we just need fatter tires?

Are the stock rims big enough to not make the truck look like a fat guy with small feet?

What size wheels and tires do you recommend for a 6” lift?

17-18 inch wheel on a 35x12.5 works. Nothing smaller than that though (for 6”)

Also, a 6” lift with the stock wheels would look pretty awful... get yourself a set of SCS wheels :)

Thank you! So the tire is what really matters to keep it proportional?

Sorry just needed a straight up answer instead of searching the fourm. I don’t understand wheels on any car I’ve ever owned. Every time I try to get new ones I totally butcher it.

I'm not educated enough when it comes to tyres and wheels with lifts, but I would love to see a picture of the truck once this has been done.

You will find soooo many different opinions on this topic. Mine is that a 6” lift will destroy your truck and make it worthless. It all depends on your wants and needs so it’s on you to figure out what works best for your situation

Its my truck and I want it to look proportional. I want it to look mean when it’s lifted. I like what you have for your set up Professional Asian.

My husband has only ever had lowered cars, as have I. So this is new territory for both of us.
I’m a real estate broker in Washington and Oregon so I have a lot of rural location I drive and trails through property when showing a client.

I care more about the look of it than the use of it for deep off roading

It’s less daring of an adventure than you guys do. But I still need it to climb a bit haha

How about the drivability? I assume you have to drive clients around on occasion so that should also be a factor.

I just want it to look proportional. My husband only does lowered cars. Not trucks. So he’s no help. I want it to look like a tonal truck hah

My truck was only lifted 2.5 inches, I suggest you do 3 inches with a 35x12.5 tire

It will be much more driveable, and look plenty mean :D

If we’re talking about “being proportional” here, then I’ll have to say these trucks aren’t really big enough to look good with a 6 inch lift

The only time I drive clients is through acreage after we get there. So the closer I can get it to look like a tonka truck the better. (Always been a childhood fantasy)
Drivability obviously I don’t want it to rub. But I don’t climb. I just crawl between 5-50ac usually it’s pretty flat or gently sloped

No rubbing = small tires unless you’re prepared for cutting.
    These ain’t Tonka trucks
