    I would agree. But I think his point is so that he can take the rtt off and hang it from the garage. Would be a couple times a year deal. Not an every day/week thing. Similar to this Jerry rigged mount I made for a topper I didn’t want on my big truck for the summer.

    That was for an 8 foot full size truck as well. One man job with ratchet straps. Could have been more sturdy than using 2x4s but it worked and never had any issues.
