Well, unfortunately I found a big buck, with both sides still on last night a couple miles from my house. The unfortunate part was he found the front of my truck coming down the mtn. on my way home about 18:15, I was able to slow to about 10 but connected square on his right rear. He instantly took off, I had a couple other guys behind me and we searched for a little while.
Went back by today to see if any signs but nothing. :(
Only damage to the truck is license plate is twisted.

That sucks. Good to hear there was no damage to the truck and you are ok.

If you were going that slow,I’m guessing he’ll live...too bad you didn’t knock his antlers off.

First legit shed hunt this year, netted me a matched set plus one. Was only out for about 2 hours as we had a little ice storm last night and it was difficult walking.C408F12F-3C52-46EB-A7A0-AEBCF5D04DC4.jpg5D75FA02-05F4-47A3-A48C-5D29AB75F98B.jpg

Had a compound 5-6 years ago. Bought it for hunting but was never able to do anything other than targets.
Just recently got a recurve, looking to get back into it and actually bowhunt 6 years later.

Didn't have time. Plenty of places but something was always happening that kept me from being able to go

Walked a couple of miles in CRP fields today. No sheds, but I did find this.
