Three Across Booster Seats?

When I buckle, I start with the passenger side, then do the middle, then do the drivers side. Sliding each car seat a few inches over to buckle, then pushing it back.

Yeah, sleeping in a booster is a rough one, at least with the full seats their heads dont flop around as much.

 

I got 4 kids. The wife can stay home. 3 boosters can fit, I'd have to get the model.

As promised... these are Graco Turbo HB. Once the kids are bigger, I can take the back part off.

 

Throw them on a mattress under the Tonneau cover!

 

What seat protector are you running under those boosters? I have three seats in the back of my Taco as well, two Diono Radians, and a Graco Snugride infant seat — but I haven't found a solid seat protector yet!

 

I have a Browning cover I got off Amazon. It's not the best but it gets the job done.

This is pretty similar to the one I have now. Do you run this with three kids seats in the back? Any issues with the middle seatbelt and getting access to it?

Yep, that was exactly the reason for purchase. I'm sure there are others out there, but I was impatient and needed one fast.

 

You have to unbolt the rear seatbelt, then loop it around the cover, then bolt it back on. Kinda a pain if you want to remove the cover, but it keeps the seats clean.

 

This is probably what I am going to go with. How easy is it to get everyone buckled?

 

If I do it, it's quick since I know where to find the seatbelt receiver. When the kids do it with all three seats... Well it can be a challenge at times. If I only take two of the kids, it's easy for them.

Once my kids grow a little to have the back part of the seat taken off, it won't be an issue for them to all buckle up together.

 

I have been considering those positioners.

 

Anyone have a solution for protecting the door panel underneath the window? My toddler loves to kick the shit out of my door for some reason. Lately I've just been taking her shoes off instead.

 

A friend has triplets. 3 boosters in the back of a 3rd gen 4runner. Shit is tight, but they fit.

 

Man and I though I was tight on space with one car seat. It sucks that you pretty much have to write off your space under the seats.

 

I fixed that issue by getting mifold car seats. They fit in the door pockets when not in use.

 

I just traded in my 2nd gen for a 5th gen 4runner due to adding an infant seat to the back. Was livable with just the booster, but with booster and rear facing seat, the cabin was just too cramped for me.
