Wonder how hard/expensive it would be to turn one of these into a canyon carver... :spy:

Nice man! So you're reassembling now then?

I've taken it on some canyon roads already.. and it does pretty decent. I stiffened up the sway bar and am running poly bushings in everything. I want to add a rear sway bar and just go from there. Maybe a full blown coilover swap one day.

Thanks man! But no.. no bowties in this family. Lol

Just the taco and minitruck. And the wife's TC

Well.. stereo components showed up, so I started tearing into the Mini. holy.. hell..

I got the one speaker out that the previous owner "installed"... aaaand called it quits. 6x9's dont fit cleanly at all... obviously.. so I'm going to return these and go with the 5-1/4" Components instead. lol I plan on cleaning this up as best I can.. then I will make a template and waterjet out a cover from some thin sheet.. tacking that on.. then mount the speakers into those new panels. once all mounted and the interior is done.. I'll have the back wall and pillars covered in matching black carpet. So you wont see anything besides a speaker/grill.

WOW! That is a big hole. I do want to know how the Sound Ordnance B-8PTD works for you. I have been looking at them for a while now.

yeah it is! and its razor sharp, not deburred, not cut clean, etc. I'll cover the shit out of it and make it look better

same here! this is my first powered sub, so I'm a little nervous about the sound and power.. but.. its also going in a little ass truck, right behind me. I think it will suffice. Plus, if I get the components now.. I might be able to squeeze a little more mid range out of those.

Hey @Aw9d you think I'll have any real big issues with running components in the rear by our heads.. and the 4" fronts? at this point, I'm not too concerned.. because it will be leaps and bounds better than current. lol the cab is small enough its just going to fill anyways right. plus you know I'm not looking for staging or SQ, etc. and the mids might be kinda nice.. lol

its the Pioneer AVH-W440NEX. Wireless Android Auto. I've been wanting an android H/U for a long time now.. but never pulled the trigger because the Ebay ones were sketchy.. and still are.. and they never really had true wireless android. I just wasnt willing to pay for something that I had to plug in still or not be able to use all the features vs say Ipod/Iphone. I finally saw this although its a year or so old by now.. but took me by surprise and had to have one.

Back in the day I had an ‘86 Dodge D50. Small like the Toyota’s are, actually it was a rebadged Mitzu. I ran just 5x7 3 ways in the doors and 2 MTX Blue Thunder 10s behind the seat. Made separate boxes that the front was held on with screws and then self tapping screwed the box from the inside to the back of the cab. That made all the difference in the world when racing quarters across the top of the cab. And I’ll be damned if it all didn’t get stolen one night. They took their sweet time and even went as far as untwisting the wires from the headunit.

It didn't want to so I put a thin layer of anti seize on it and it slid right on. That shit was challenging for sure. Feel like it's all downhill from here.

It's preferecne. Vocals should come from the front.

Why not take the tweeters from the components and wire the tweets up front to the 4" and just use the 5 1/4 in the back as a full range vocal? Just need a crossover or amp to adjust the frequencies.
