gas gauge needle keeps on moving radically

    have a 1998 Tacoma and replaced the gauge cluster from a 2002 and now that gas gauge needle is moving violently all over the place from full to mty and in between . any thoughts on what the problem is as its driving me nuts watching the needle bounce all the time .
