Toyota PT580-35050-SB Bed Mat for Short Bed.
My first car purchase was a 2000 Tacoma 4x4 Black SR5 with TRD badging with less than 4K miles for $22,900... I later traded her in for the 1st year 2001 Tacoma 4x4 double cab with TRD badging for around $27,700.
Years later in 2010, I got into an ‘08 double cab TRD 4x4 with less than 50K miles. That was short lived and the last time I was in a Tacoma was 2011... Now in 2019 I’m back in a 2016 Tacoma Limited Quicksand with 67K miles. So NICE to get a used Tacoma Limited with the Toyota folding bed cover, Toyota tube step bars, and Toyota roof rack already installed!
My upgrades have included switching out the front and back all weather mats with husky liners x-act contour liners, avs hood deflector and avs in channel vent visors. Toyota bed mat is on order to add protection and grip to bed liner. Also, Lund 86521213 Revolution Bull Bar with Integrated LED Light Bar, Black Steel is on order. Does anyone have this Lund Revolution Bull Bar installed on their Tacoma? Any recommendations on finding a light weight bar or guard to add protection to the rear bumper? This should be my final accessory for now...

    Welcome back!

Mat is a good thing to have, but you don't have a bed liner like the 1st gens. That is a composite bed, and has been since '05.

Very few folks around will admit to having a bull bar on their Tacoma. They are generally not very sleek (especially on 3rd gens) and are actually considered a risk to be a damage multiplier, (because of folding into the vehicle) especially if you actually smack something like a bull.

Of course do what's right for you, but you might want to consider other bumper options............. lots out there. Assuming you even need an aftermarket bumper or bumper protection.

Bull bars are damage multipliers. If you want to protect your bumpers get steel bumpers. You need something that bolts to the frame in order to prevent damage.

You hit something with a bull bar and it acts as a wedge and bends the bumper attachments and causes more damage.

I would pass on installing a mustache on your truck too (the bug “deflector”) they tend to wear away the paint along the edge of the hood.
Everyone I know that has taken one off has paint damage under them.

Thank you all for the welcome and input with the Lund Revolution Bull Bar. Order has been canceled. The front will remain naked and clean That’s $275 saved for better expenses! Anyone know of any brush guards for the rear bumper to protect against any possible rear and bumps or back ups?

Rear bumps pretty much have the same problem. Frame damage easily occurs even with a substantial whack into the hitch.

As far as back ups, driving school teaches a walk around before backing. It's why you see cones behind commercial vehicles, picking them up forces the walk around. After you've looked over your situation, the camera keeps you in real time mode.

There are some nice aftermarket higher clearance bumpers to consider as well, if you are looking for something more rugged that the OE plastics.

Lol... I’m good with my backing but fear those possible bump and runs in parking lots or side streets. Something that might leave a mark on them rather than me and also give me some added protection...
