Power seats and drum brakes , I know that will make many , many here happy. Personally I’m done I would never purchase a 2020 vehicles with drum brakes. I’m going over to the Jeep gladiator. I have a new JL and it’s awesome I love it. I was waiting to see what’s going to happen with the 2020 Tacoma it’s not for me I’m going for the 2020 gladiator.

I hope this comment makes it to Toyota. They need to step it up! (although I'm not sure everyone's beef with drums)

Is the Gladiator a lot longer than the Taco?

For all those expecting huge changes, remember that super awesome resale value we all love, you can kiss that goodbye if they made major changes 3 years into a design cycle. Can't have it both ways guys and gals.

Does it look like the SR trim will come with the six speed manual? Kind of looks like it does.

Looks like Toyota went to the existing parts bin for the new led fog lights

Seen a new Gladiator at the Philly auto show last weekend up close and in person. It is quite a beefier looking vehicle than the Tacoma. One does not need a crystal ball to tell you the aftermarket is going to be insane for it like it is for the Wrangler JL. It will definitely poach potential Tacoma buyers who are not brand loyal.

Was really hoping for the diesel, my 2.7L is just too much of a speed demon, a 13 second 0-60 would definitely keep me out of trouble ;)

    I know...but it's better than trading in my '19 for a '20.

Now see if the cables adaptors from the back of the unit are the same or not. I have heard it is going to be different.

They will be different, but it's easy enough to make a jumper.

Toyota will NEVER put a diesel in a Tacoma for the states. Our federal emissions regulations do not make it cost effective for Toyota to offer one. Our emissions regulations are much different than other parts of the world were diesels are offered. Mercedes has dropped all diesels in passenger vehicles here in the states due to federal emissions regulations, cost & lacking sales. Toyota has sold record amounts of Tacomas as it is so no need to design a cost prohibitive diesel drivetrain for a small US market. Hybrid will be the future.

Side note VW can partly be blamed for our strict diesel regulations.

No, the b.s. that must be added to make them legal here makes them suck so badly Toyota is absolutely correct not to make one. The engine used for the rest of the planet is excellent but illegal here.
