I used to worry about storage space, but after having my dashcam for over a year I've figured out unless you are trying to chronicle a trip or some such it's a non issue. I've got mine set at the highest level and it rewrites quite often. If I need footage as evidence of an incident it is saved. Unless of course in the odd event that something happened that the camera didn't see as an incident and I didn't notice at that time and capture. That might be lost. But that could still happen with the largest SD card and DC set at lowest level.

Most useful accessory for me would be my dashcam ($30 gopro knockoff) that clips into gopro mount on windshield. Has easily saved me hundreds (possibly thousands) of dollars. Guy who sideswiped me tried to claim it was my fault for parking wrong (he hit me while I was parked). I sent a quick video clip of the incident to both insurance companies and he was instantly assigned 100% fault.

Most useful for me are: Weathertek floor liners, @Tacowiede radio knobs, @mesojdm gasshole & coin bucket, soft tonneau cover, scangauge2 primarily for trans temp.

Gentex Homelink mirror, RCI sliders, MESO coin holder and interior lights, and bed lights are the most useful to me so far.

Your footage looks great, you sure its not 4k? Another person said it only looks good in 4k on his. Also other then the sd card, what else would I need to purchase to run this cam?

Shouldn't need much else. Maybe a 12v adapter for power unless you're going to hardwire it in.

*edit* Unless I'm missing something obvious...

Better floor mats, bed mat, topper(for the dogs), console organizer. Better tires, I'm realizing how terrible the stock ones are in snow (or anything other than dry pavement) VERY quickly.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

For those of you considering using an action cam for a dash cam. When you order a go pro knock off (Like I did), beware, some of them only record in 5, 10 or 15 minutes increments. Mine for example, records 1 10 minute video, the automatically starts another video, which lasts 10 minutes. I found this out when I brought it on an airboat ride for about 3 hours. I came back to 18 videos that I had to stitch together to form 1. Make sure whatever action cam you go with does continuous recording if that's what you're looking for.

I get the reasoning behind the shorter clips. It's so you don't lose the entire thing if something happens, but 10 minutes is a wee bit too short for my liking.

So I checked today, turns out it was 2.7k. It's pretty cool that it gives a mid option I suppose, but I set it down to 1080 now. The only other thing I would reccomend for the Camera is a nice long braded micro USB cable. Maybe a DC>USB to free up the factory port for iPhone use.

The 4k res was 30 FPS
The 2.7k res was 30 FPS
The 1080 res is 60 FPS
